Fremen army figurines
I was just wondering how artists might have made Laza tigers look like, googled this:
But then I realized there was an entire army there !
And sandworms
You don't have to put on the red light(but it looks really cool !)

I'd guess 1/35th.

Re: Fremen army figurines
there's a mm scale on those things, too ... I haven't gone to the page yet ... are they plastic or pewter ?

Re: Fremen army figurines
Of what, a yard? iirc when I was painting miniatures many years ago they were counted in mm, 35mm scale being the norm. Looking at some of the work-in-progress conversion shots these figures look quite large, I'd guess 50mm. Conversion work tends to be carried out on larger than the norm for obvious reasons.Freakzilla wrote:I'd guess 1/35th.
If you want to look at some really high end miniature work go here http://www.coolminiornot.com/, some of the work there is mind blowing.

No, in scale. Use any unit you want. That's the scale plastic military miniatures and armor usually come in.[/quote]inhuien wrote:Of what, a yard?Freakzilla wrote:I'd guess 1/35th.
I found this out when trying to find soldiers for a 1/32nd scale UH-1D helecopter. The men, which are primarily made for plastic armor dioramas and the armor models themselves are usually 1/35th.

I thought that may have been the case, over here ratio's expressed as 1:32, 1/32 being a fraction.

Re: Fremen army figurines
Same thing, 1/32m = 1m is the same as 1:32.
It still pisses me off that the only common scale for aircraft and armor is 1/48.

Just so I'm clear, there's a miniature Dune game that I've somehow never heard of? Fuck, let me in on that!

No, more like one guy's work, and maybe some homebrewed rules. Not that that's not pretty cool, of course.
But there's no actual Dune mini's game that I've ever heard of.

This is almost certainly a custom army for use in the the tabletop game
I thought we had the über-nreds in here.

I'd love to try and come up with a home-brewed Dune game, but without the proper minis it wouldn't be as much fun, and I just don't have the time for modelling (I haven't even painted all of my small Warmachines army).

God's own scale - average humans are 28mm (...ish) tall.
I've seen these before... but they are great A hell of a lot of work in there.
I really want to start releasing a few "not-Dune" minis at some point... but after doing that shit at work all day, it's the last thing I want to do when I get homeA Thing of Eternity wrote:I'd love to try and come up with a home-brewed Dune game, but without the proper minis it wouldn't be as much fun, and I just don't have the time for modelling (I haven't even painted all of my small Warmachines army).
