For the record I totally agree, KJA messing with a pulp universe like SW isn't even close to the same level of despicableness that him messing with serious lit is.

Re: Tmothy Zahn vs Kevin J Anderson
Also, to point to the glaringly obvious, Star Wars was a film franchise — the books came later. By definition, anything TheKeith fucked with was already "extended universe." So, while it's possible to sympathize with anti-Jacket SW fans (and I do sympathize), their pain is of a significantly lower degree than ours.

Just to add, the StarCraft EU fans hate him as well.

Just to add, there isn't a franchise in which he's worked that does like him. He's universally hated except for his little nacnud followers who kiss his balls every time he takes a shit.

We haven't heard anything from Batman or Superman fans yet have we? Those are both pretty popular franchises, there must be a good anti-KJA group hidden there somewhere...

There was a guy who ran a Superman site who hated Anderhack's Krypton book and wrote a pretty funny review of it.
It's a case of "shoulda bookmarked it" because now I can't find it anywhere.

Not only that, but 11 years ago I joined a Star Wars forum and we trashed the shit out of him there. When I heard that he was going to be writing Dune books I was devastated.Omphalos wrote:It must feel like he's haunting you in particular.Nekhrun wrote:I'm both and I hate that fucker.A Thing of Eternity wrote:We haven't heard anything from Batman or Superman fans yet have we? The good thing is that, because of my kja exposure, I think I've saved hundreds of high schoolers the trouble of reading his books. I guess I'm kind of like Jesus, Santa and Alvis all rolled into one.

Goodkind's most recent novel went from hardcover to remainder bin in *three months*.Kojiro wrote:I probably hate that guy almost as much as I hate KJA....Haddonfield, NJ: Second Question - I've noticed similarities between your Sword of Truth series and Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series...(Black Sisterhood vs. Black Ajah; The Order vs. The Seanchan; Richard vs. Rand both discovering their powers, both have Nameless evil Gods...etc.) I've often voiced my suspicion that these two series might be occurring on the same world...how crazy am I?

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.

Good. He was probably my favourite author for a bit when I was younger, but his books went downhill fast (didn't start all that perfect either) and he is one of the most condescending arrogant people on the planet. His ego makes KJA look like a buddhist monk.Hunchback Jack wrote:Goodkind's most recent novel went from hardcover to remainder bin in *three months*.Kojiro wrote:I probably hate that guy almost as much as I hate KJA....Haddonfield, NJ: Second Question - I've noticed similarities between your Sword of Truth series and Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series...(Black Sisterhood vs. Black Ajah; The Order vs. The Seanchan; Richard vs. Rand both discovering their powers, both have Nameless evil Gods...etc.) I've often voiced my suspicion that these two series might be occurring on the same world...how crazy am I?
