Hi everyone

Post by M.A.L »

Long time lurker and finally decided to join. Love Frank Herberts Dune, I've read all six books countless times. Despise kja's crap,
stopped reading his after sandworms and will never read one of his books again. Look forward to discussing Dune with
fellow FH fans.

Just how many people do we need to jump from the "vocal minority" category? :P

I don't know, but there's clearly more than 5 of us. Then again, we're all just manifestations of Chig's various personalities.

How did you get into Gits. Did you watch the movie first or the series?

Was flipping channels one night and happened onto Innocence as it was starting. Been hooked since. :D

I've seen the two(?) series and most of the movies now (I think); have the manga and even the spin-off short stories written by the show staff.

You?

I got the manga (collections) and the short story/novella books through Amazon Japan. But last year when I was home in the States, I was realy surprised to see DVDs of the movies and English versions of the manga in a local media store. (I think it was an F.Y.E. I don't know if that's a national chain or just a Midwest one. I didn't check to see what they had while back this year.) And I found English translations of the books in a local Borders.

If they had them in BFE Ohio, surely someplace has to carry them up where you are. :)
