Actually, my dear, I myself had a Radio Shack TRS-80.

No permanent data storage expect a cassette tape recorder, minimal RAM (I forget how many KB), no mouse, black-n-white screen, programmed in BASIC.

Ah, those were the days! :D

Of the Stone Age. :(
My dad had one of those! :) I dusted it off (quite) a few years ago and taught myself a bit of basic... before I realised how pointless the whole idea was.

I had a Commodore VIC-20... :)

Ah, the video games you could make with those things : A large rectangle ( meaning a ship) firing tiny circles to a big square ( meaning a plane or something).

...And welcome bgscholar ! :P

I used to write games in BASIC for my TI-994A. One was a BMX bike race where the riders would do tricks as they went over jumps.

I put a lot of time into a Star Trek game inspired by the vector graphics arcade game but I never finished it. Pretty much Asteroids with Klingons instead.

My friend and I wrote a text based spy game about getting laid, kind of like Liesure Suit Larry, on his Apple II. We tried to make it graphical like Lord Akalabeth, but failed miserably.

I don't even know where they came from but I ended up with a cupboard of early Amstrad PCs. God, I almost had to pay the dump to take them off my hands.

There Computers were poor but Christ on a bike did anyone have the misfortune to hear one of there 5th rate MIDI-HIFIs?
