ya that's needed with mandatory voting, because otherwise you get a bunch of dumbfucks who vote randomly or by what the media tells them on the drive over.

actually to be very honest, i have more respect for NDP voters than Liberal supporters. at least they have something they stand for and vote for every single election, knowing full well that they will never get the power to implement their vision. Liberals simply sway with popular opinion, flip-flopping on issues for political gain, rather than standing for actual principles in the face of opposition.

I find the curve created by the extended quotes very cool
Next time lets see if we can make it exponential in shape :D

Oh, in regards to the actual issue at hand, everyone please note that I excluded Barak's conclusion regarding the conservative party, in my "QFT" post... I dunno if that's what you meant by "you too?" SM but yeah the point is I hate Harper a lot.

There, at least the shrinky is somewhat relevant.

Jurassic Park? Sounds like the mathematician character, whose name I can't remember right now.

Or is it a RL quote? If so, it sounds sort of SF-ish.

Hey that was quick. Good job Dukester! It was Ian Malcolm. The book was divided into seven "iterations," each of which began with a quote from Malcolm saying something to that effect, as well as a diagram of a fractal which becomes more detailed with each iteration. This was never incorporated into the movie.

I read Jurassic Park, the movie left a lot out. Decent book.

I got the Ballot! Recieved it today. Finally I get my first opportunity to vote!

I'm going to photocopy the ballot after I vote and frame the copy.

Just a couple of problems. Election day is on June 4th which is 7 days from now. It takes five days I'm told for mail to be delivered these days. Apparently I'm voting for the candidate not the party. And I'm looking at 19 Greenleft candidates none of them I know! That leaves 2 days to research each candidate on the Internet to see which one has the best chance of winning.

Better vote for an incumbent. Or if there are no incumbents, find out which seat they held. I only know one Greenleft politician and she is not on the ballot.

That's right, be sure to pick the candidate with the best chance of winning. That's what it's all about.

Nebiros, I would advise you to research the canidates and vote for the ones that comes closest to your point of views. And as far as voting for an incumbant, that is not always the best route to go (in my opinion). Just because someone holds an office at the time of an election does not mean that they are the best person for that office. Some are, some aren't.

My advice is to really do your research and also check to see if the ballot has to be in by election day or just postmarked by election day. If it is the latter, then that will give you a few more days at least to do your research.

Thanks for all the advice. After some consideration, I have voted.

Here is the candidate I voted for:

So that's why you didn't vote for Barack Obaba, he of the long curly mane.

Haha! Sorry, but I knew all about that anti-american socialist. If I hadn't, he'd have struck out on name, hair and sex, though.

:)

Oh, and if they candidate has a female running mate or a hot wife/daughter, that counts in the female column.
