Previously you said "addicts" should be shot, now you're discriminating?

BTW, "Reverend" is mispelled in that cartoon.

Yes. Got a problem with that? :P

I'll be sure to track down the artist and have him remake it...or shot, since it seems I'm on a roll here.

It's not that big a deal to me but you do what you've got to do.

It's from the Landsraad community on MSN or something. I kept these from DoD when I just joined it and looked around, but I've looked in their page too a couple of times.

Isn't that the famous energy drink that Teg takes with Taraza in Heretics?

I've always imagined that there were compatability issues between spice essence and other "awareness-spectrum narcotics". Maybe Reverend Mothers on lesser drugs couldn't access the Other Memories of ancestors that had taken the spice essense for their agony ritual, or maybe they couldn't share their OM with "spicy" Reverend Mothers like Jessica did with Ramallo or how it is described in Heretics.

Hmmm. Interesting speculation, but not really anything solid to base it on, right? :)

Well, it would take a lot from the book if the importance of the spice was undervalued thus. It would be saying "the spice is really important... Except there are backups."

Do these other drugs perform such functions as expanding life and all the other things to which spice was valued? They recognised the dependence on the spice for what it was, and they had so vast a stockpile of the substance.
And what is good, Phaedrus, and what is not good?

You see, MS is working on that compatibility problem. They say the new Awareness Expanding protocol would be finished by their next OS.
