Where do they belong?

Post by dunaddict »

Do you own one or more of the new 'Dune'-'novels'? If so, where are they now?:

1) On my bookshelf, along with the other Dunes.
2) On my bookshelf, but nowhere near the real Dune books.
3) Stored in my attic/cellar.
4) My new doorstop / paperweight.
5) Sold / Present for a 'friend'.
6) In my fireplace / toiletpaper.

I keep Dune where I can find it in the dark.
I keep the rest of the original books on a shelf by the stairs.
The new books are all on the attic in my makeshift cardboard-box bookcase.

I traded them in at the used book store for credit and got my hands on better material.

I never bought any of the new crap, but if I did I would have given them to a used bookstore to keep someone else from giving money to the HLP.

My correcting of my file versions is an ongoing process, so I've kept my copies of everything; mostly paperbacks.

I just keep everything piled on a shelf next to whatever computer I'm using, currently the iMac downstairs under the heater. :) (No point in having to run all over the place if I want to look something up hard-copy. )

Mine are still unfortunately on my bookcase next to the Originals b/c I can't bring myself to just discarding them. I've thought about donating to Big Brothers Big Sisters but that would just be cruel.

Seconded! Bring it on! Youtube here we come. :)

Personally I had them next to my real Dune books for years. After reading 'Hunters of Dune' I couldn't stand seeing them together on the same shelf anymore and I put all those fake Dune books in a drawer where they can't hurt anyone's eyes.

All of the KJA/BH books I have purchased sit in a box in my closet. I will probably take them to my local used book store or will throw them away because I'd like to use that box to store something of worth.

Only the books written by Frank Herbert are canon.
