Heya! :D

What's the avatar from? (I really liked the kakejiku you had for a while (always?) over on 'Keen.)

Dude ... this is what ya get for not perving the official Dumb Novels board occasionally! :P

Seriously, though, I always suspected that Hypatia didn't send out any sort of message to the membership notifying them that she was shutting the board down. (I was already deleted per my own request by that time, so I wouldn't have gotten one anyway.)

As Duke Leto I would have said, "Damned sloppy."

Anyway ... the main thing is ... YOU'VE FOUND US! :D

There's a few rules:

1. No personal attacks. It's fine to argue someone's point, let's just not get personal, OK?

2. Keep the profanity to a minimum.

3. No pornography.

4. No advertisements.

5. English only. Non-English posts will be deleted. (Exceptions: Galach and Chakobsa)

I may or may not add more later...

Hello SM. I'm one of the newbies. I came over in a board crashing party and decided to stick around.

Looking forward to getting to know you better.

Hey there. I remember you. Just a bit though. Or maybe you were gone from Arrakeen by the time I got there. Oh well.

Sword Master of Ginaz? Or without the "Ginaz"? Seems familier either way...but it's been so long...
In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

Hi, nice to meet you.
As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hypatia approaches one.

This avatar is the Barrack Obama Samurai action figure. Selling like hot cakes in Japan right now. Cool huh. I know I liked my old avatar but I cannot find the file I had a new disk drive installed and Im too lazy to find it again, but I expect it to change it again maybe back to the old one if I can find it. 

If you dont remember my brief yet uber awesome life on the dune novels board I was and probably still am the record holder for the fastest ban in history. 2 posts. 1st post, what planet was Paul born on? As a poll. Second post was just a HELLO, but my sig was a cartoon of 2 bender robots from futurama fighting a mech worm and the robots had name tags as BH and KJA. That got me banned for life and I did not bother to fight it or assume an other name. I kept thinking that keen was down for like a maintenance or reface, did not know what had happened so I figured it would come back. I only found this place when the new keen admins emailed me saying keen is back. Then our friend Baraka Bryan PMed me over there about this place.

There was indeed no message when they shut it down. Leto would have brought justice to that forum!

...and I have found you now so our waters are joined again.

hey you can never have enough of them :P

SwordMaster, glad you heeded my advice over at Hypatia's playhouse to come join here.

A fellow Torontonian here who got into Dune boards basically right as Arrakeen was locked down a year ago.

we've had some good Canadian political discussions already... in fact we derailed so many threads the admins created a politics forum to keep it more organized :D

look forward to talking to you!

TEE DOT!?!

Thanks for the headsup would never have stumbled in here otherwise, Canadian Politics? *rubs hands together* I think Im going to like it here.

You sure he wasn't conceived there? :P I jest...

That's interesting though, was your grandmother an employee? I wouldn't have guessed that Dofasco hired women back in the old days.

Glad to see so many Canadians here

Yes the air quality on the factory floor is questionable to say the least. I see you are using the old fashon steel town, rather then the new "The Hammer"

Only people who aren't from "The Hammer" call it "The Hammer." I even used the indefinite "a" steel town, rather than "the" Steel Town. I'm quite proud of my city and I usually just call it Hamilton. :)
