Meatspace meeting with Crysknife in Salt Lake City.

My wife and kids and I recently took a long cross-country road trip. We went from our home in Sacramento to Door County, WI, and then back home through a different route. We went through California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and then back home again through Utah, Nevada, and California. The majority of our trip was along Route 50, I-70 and I-90, but we actually managed to spend more time off of the interstate and on back roads. Before I left I was wondering if I would do well with such a long trip. Have not traveled like that since I was a young man. But I loved it and when I got home I was happy. We had a fantastic time because we saw some great sights and met some great folks, including two of our little community's members.

D Pope and I met up yesterday in Burlington, had some tea, and of course chatted about Dune and sci-fi. It was a beautiful day, and really good to meet him!

Nice!

I used to have a good friend up in Burlington. We did the drive from Burlington to Montreal a few times back in the late 80's. Beautiful drive.
