Hello peeps, found this forum and thought i would register. I read Dune years ago in the early 80's but that is the only book from the series i have read . I also went to the cinema to watch the film when it came out ( am i the only person in the world who loved it ) So after 30 years i have decided to start the rest , which is a journey i should have started after i read Dune. I remember i bought Dune Messiah but never got round to reading it which is an unforgivable sin as i loved Dune it still is one of my fav sci books. I know absolutley nothing about the story or plot after Dune so i am really looking forward to it.
Anyway hello to you all and all the best
Tony

Greetings all
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those ... moments will be lost in time, like tears...in rain.
Time to die.
Time to die.

Re: Greetings all
Welcome here, hopefully you'll enjoy Dune as much as we all did, and you sure will find a whole load of knowledgeable people here.
I liked the movie too, besides its fault there was a lot of things that were a fine illustration of what I had in mind when I read the book. But pug dogs and weirding modules... Nah...
On a side note, and it's nothing against you I must stress, but I am the only one to dislike that expression, "peeps"?

I'm sure you'll enjoy reading through the rest of the series, you can follow along in the Reading Group and discuss each chapter, if you like.

Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.
