I tried watching this last weekend but couldn't get into it, maybe because I jumped in in the middle...

A strong start, especially considering they had to so much table-setting with so many characters. I believe there wasn't a repeat visit from a single character until past the 40-minute mark (Tyrion).

They should just go ahead and make a spin off called "The Tyrion Show". I'd watch it.

Ok, i just finished watching the second episode and this show just keeps getting better and better. They also keep adding more sex scenes (i think there were 3 in this one) which is great.

Yeah so....dead topic? Or did "The Most Pirated Show of 2012" make it harder to watch?

There was too much off the rails near the end of the season. I was especially sick of Dany's new story line, and how they wasted 2-3 minutes of each episode showing us her wringing her hands or yelling at Jorah, or setting up a romantic tension between them that was meaningless.

Oh and if you are going to complain about not having enough time to do the story, don't change the story and spend as much time on the changed story as it would take to just show the story the way it happened, JON.

I liked the changes with Arya's story, even if they made little sense. Charles Dance kicks ass.

And if the TV show had one quality that could possibly damage the entirety of ASOIAF for its existence its ROS.
Martin has stated that he intends to work the character into later books in the series, probably as a throwaway cameo just to tie her presence into both the series and books.

Still my favourite show on tv right now. Over all i loved this season, but i can´t stand Daenerys. She never does anything until the last episode of every season.

Tom Wlaschiha as Jaqen is fucking awesome, i´m gonna miss that actor.

Finally we got to see the White Walkers.

Great news, the Reeds will appear in the next season and the actors have already been cast. 8)

Now i´ll have to wait 10 months until the third season. Oh well.

Edit to add: i love this song!

Meh. Didn't know that was The National that performed it though. I like their music, but that just seemed too subdued, and not "I destroyed your family, you may weep now" subduing.

Who should they get to do "The Bear and the Maiden Fair?" Tom Waits and Zooey Daschenel! hopefully nude...Zooey at least.

Also, re-reading the series, I've been thinking about a casting call. Ramsey should be cast soon, but I had this funny idea while reading AFFC:

For the High Sparrow, Brad Dourif. He could even keep his thick southern accent.

Also was thinking of Ian McShane for Euron.

I hope they don't totally cut the Blackfish out, but I'll be surprised if he shows up.
