You do know that Jonathan F is the infamous, the one, the only, EVERYBODY's favorite bowl of Hungarian-Canadian goulash, The Almighty Zeus (TAZ) from the old days on DumbNovels, right?

I hear ya ...

I wasn't around for any of the drama at any of the other sietches, and I've given up on trying to follow it. Many of the stories are funny, no doubt, but I can't keep the players straight unless they eventually show up here for some reason.

Now that I think about it, I haven't even lurked at DumbassNovels in ... wow, a long time. I remember going over there three or four times right after the format-switch, but that's about it.

Whoa. This is the first example I've ever seen of "faggot" used as a conjunction.

I looked around DumbNovels a bit the other day. There's not really even enough to make fun of. It's just kinda ... sad.

Maybe why Byron is putting more effort into the Twitter and Facebook accounts? They've probably got more fans & "friends" & "followers" there than on the BBS now.

Of course, I'm sure a lot of those people just sign up to look trendy & kewl. Like the million people fanned up on the FB Avatar page. Only a small percentage of them have actually ever posted anything.

Which is probably a good thing, when you think about it: who really wants to hear from the over 500,000 people below the group average intelligence?

Then again, maybe they ARE the ones posting.... :(

BTW, just speaking conversationally here, you never want to give the HLP, the preek hordes, and the extreme wingnuts any excuses to whip out their tired old "The OH movement is a terroristic jihad" argument.

Which is to say: we always need to be careful with talk of guns and bombs, and with threats of harm toward Keith and Bobo, even if made in obvious jest. Such things will inevitably be taken out of context and used for later ammunition (so to speak) against us. It's far better to wish for a nice, neutral bear-shaped meteor to crush TheKJA like a grape (Act of God) than it is to mention bombs or guns.

This Jim Harwood idiot from yesterday is a perfect example. He makes actual physical threats (and has threatened violence in the past, too), yet it's the OH who are the "terrorostic jihad." It's how preek idiots "think," especially after Anderhack reminds them of his "talifan" joke. Sadly, the onus is on us to watch our words carefully.

Sorry for the speech. You're still my favorite underage Dune cutie (<<-- speaking of things that could be taken out of context and get me in trouble  )

And besides, The Hacks are pretty much responsible for their own bombs, HA HA HA!

It's like they're a battleship hunting for submarines: each book is set to go off at a greater depth than the one before! :P

Wait a minute... I saw awhile ago that the guy who started this topic, and who has posted in other parts of this forum, Spice Grandson, is probably Byron Merritt. GOOD GOD! ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT ONE OF THE AGENTS OF THE HERBERT FAMILY IS AMONG US?!

Back to my normal voice, is this really him? I find it interesting that he's engaged in a few battle-of-wits posts with some of the most respectable members of this forum. The users who responded to him came up with intelligent rebukes, but it doesn't seem that he understands thoroughly what the Orthodox Herbertian criticism of Brian and Kevin is.

If this is Byron, do not take my water, and throw my body away to the desert for the worms to swallow in the name of the Herbertarian Estate for the previous comment. I'm innocent!

To which he may reply: "There are no innocents any longer!"

It looks like Byron has self-banned though, as he has not posted anything since December 2009.

Cocksucker deleted my post on "Official Dune" facebook page where I was trying to engage in an even handed discussion regarding the Herbert family's treatment (or in my opinion mistreatment) of his literary legacy. Oh and he blocked me from posting too.

He seems so puerile; It's like he plugs his ears with his fingers and shouts, "La La La!"

Disarmed?

Disarming?

Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

The phrase I've alwasy heard was, "I refuse to have a battle of witts with an unarmed person."
