No I don't have this version, my copy is quite shite enough, but I felt the need to share the pain/joy/droppingbloodpressure.

Whenever I was looking for a copy of D:V I made sure not to get that one. Mine has an image of a hybernation tank on it.

I have this Penguin edition ;) But I have more serious question about D:V. Do anyone of you actually see a cover of the Gregg Press edition of D:V. It looks like a phantom book to me ;) I know that there are probably some copies at various libraries but still it's a little mysterious edition. It's not even on the list of all Gregg Press editions.

David Hartwell was the editor of the Gregg Press SF line. He is still active as an editor and reviews at The New York Review of Science Fiction. You could shoot him an email and ask about DV.

Excellent photo also. Congrats again.

In dance club 70 almost everybody knows me as Kwisatz and they even know how to spell it correctly but only a few know my birth name ;)

If you like my modeling clay figures, there will be more in few weeks by the same artist and you could also order them with some alterations and variations ;)

Motion to award Kwisatz for being a certified Dune fanatic and "world's foremost collector of all things FH" via board title.

Thank you for all appreciation. It encourages me to tell you more ;)

You saw my wedding band, but it's only half of the sentence. On mine: Dune united 7.08.2011 , on hers: Us forever 7.08.2011. Also pattern was designed as yellow dunes under the white arrakean sky ;)
Image
Image

Our wedding invitations were on special paper with strands in the structure which looks like 1 stage of a Sandworm - Sandtrout ;)
Also we have on the top of invitation a drawing of us by Wojciech Siudmak from Children of Dune.

Image

On our wedding site I used Bene Gesserit credo as a motto:
I exist only to serve you with advice, deed, be a pillar in the relationship and be supportive for you on our Golden Path of Life.

We had small gifts for guests - golden sentences which 40 of them were from Frank's epigraphs.

On our vignettes on the table we had texts:
Groom - Kwisatz
Bride - Chani

One of the wedding small gifts was a Hungarian Road to Dune with Hungarian wedding inscription from a fan. Another gift was Dune and Philosophy with wedding inscription from author of an essay and our member - Lundse - thank you again!
I ordered a gift for my wife from signedpage.com. It was a Hellhole with nice Dune wedding inscription (according to my project) written personally by BH and with both BH and KJA signatures. From Master Siudmak we received a replica of his painting for Polish cover of DM (seen earlier in this thread-slightly different version) in format 80x101cm and in golden frames.
Our gifts for parents are replicas of drawings of ourselves in Polish CoD by Wojciech Siudmak also in golden frames ;)

But...

those were Dune accents but above all this was a rock'n'roll wedding.

60% of the music of the music was rock'n'roll. During the party was a dance show of Polish champions in boogie-woogie, 3 guests are also Polish and European champions in rock'n'roll. Also our first dance was boogie - woogie to 'Fever' by Timi Yuro (also earlier by Elvis Presley).
Choreography was made by a woman who was a 3rd in boogie-woogie in the world.
And above all that - our wedding car was the one and only replica in Europe of Bluesmobile from Blues Brothers ;) Driver and best man were disguised as Blues Brothers and also dance show pair were disguised in the same fashion.
Other unusual accents - in the church and also during the dinner we had a celtic harp player, who also sung in Polish and English. She is also able to sing in Irish, Welsh, Old English and Sindarin or Quenya (from LOTR).

The Bluesmobile? Did it come equipped with S.C.M.O.D.S.? The State, County, Municipal Offender Data System?

When I was younger I took one of those green monitors from and Apple III computer and mounted it into my pickup truck so I could have a SCMODS. Never got it to work right though.

Hey, that one has an Illinois tag!
