Tick Log me on automatically each visit and bookmark here: search.php?search_id=newposts. I just checked it and it works fine.

Also make sure you don't have a browser setting that's purging the cookie every time you close your browser.

Now I can't seem to figure out how to replicate that and have to sign in everytime I come to this site.

any suggestions?
BB: You obviously had this page bookmarked, not this one, and had the "keep me logged on" box checked.

I seem to remember you were also going to jacurutu.com, not http://www.jacurutu.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Back when we did the updates we crossed a few links and it used to take you to the Distant Soil site.

Nek: Never could figure out your problem. the best Raggy could do is figure that it's some setting on your host's site, but I think I asked if you tried http://www.jacurutu.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and never heard back.

I think Lundse had similar problems for a time, and his just kind of cleared up.

EDIT: Just checked it. Going to plain old "jacurutu.com" takes you to the board. Going to http://www.jacurutu.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; will keep things opened up for you. You guys should change where your bookmark points to http://www.jacurutu.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I am guessing you only have "jacurutu.com" in there. Now I remember, when we fixed that link to stop pointing at Distant Soil we could not make it go to the real address. Some problem with DNS. Pretty sure I posted about this somewhere here.

Sorry, I should've updated you on this because it always worked on the T(A)U site. It does work here now as well (It's been fine for a few months now). I never did figure out what the difference was.

FWIW, you should also use "www.jacurutu.com" and not "jacurutu.com". The latter will never remember you.

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.
