There is no guilt or innocence in you. All of that is past. Guilt belabors the
dead and I am not the Iron Hammer. You multitude of the dead are merely people
who have done certain things, and the memory of those things illuminates my
path.

Farad'n wakes Jessica up in the middle of the night, he has finaly mastered the first Bene Gesserit lesson, imagining his hands growing old and young at will. He has learned that his mind controls his reality. She instructs him to practice doing this until it comes easily. He is also to begin training each individual muscle in his body. He asks what her plan is for him, she tells him she is training him to become whatever he desires, but he must learn to control his desires the way he controls reality. He leaves and she thinks, just wait until he learns to control his emotions. There will be lots of seemingly innocuous questions from palace personel tomorrow.
