Bristol Palin - ambassador for abstinence

Post by SwordMaster »

Bristol Palin, daughter of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, went on "Good Morning America" to launch her new pastime as an ambassador for abstinence.

Anchor Christopher Cuomo pointed out that Palin's own personal history went against her abstinence-only message for teens. (Palin, 18, recently had a baby with former boyfriend Levi Johnston.) She became pregnant after she and Levi failed to use protection (something Johnston admitted on the "Tyra" show.)

Palin was less forthcoming on this issue than her ex. "Regardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only way you can effectively, 100% foolproof way you can prevent pregnancy,"

But seriously guys, 1 baby or 2 babies. She is still hot

I'd hit it.

On abstenance: Telling children not to do something is a sure way to get them to do it.

Well, some people have a choice in the matter, that makes abstinance more difficult.

I'm sorry, nothing personal. I just can't let a set-up like that go without knocking it down. :)

My country has been fighting a losing battle against low birth rates for longer than I've been alive. In most first world industrialized countries, they have been experiencing similar problems to a lesser degree. According to national statistics, almost 10% of the population age 15-30 that is physically capable of having sex does not do so. We don't need an abstinence program. We need a procreation program. We need financial incentives to have families and give tax breaks to existing parents raising children. We need ways to combat our ever decreasing birth rates, not contribute to the decline.

Think of it this way, each couple must have 2.4 children to maintain the current population. The 0.4 accounts for the mortality rate.

Man, that would be nice. With our last child, my wife was ordered to bed rest for he last couple weeks of her pregnancy, I tried to work from home but got nowhere. I would have been nice to take that time off and not worry about it. That was with another company though, I think Honeywell does have some kind of paternity leave... yep, we do. Damnit, I'm not getting my wife un-fixed just to take some time off!

Amazing. We should be doing that nationwide. What a shame.
