She's terrified of the census.

Also, the reason why I am posting here because I didn't think we needed another thread for MN politics and I can't remember where the original topic was...

Hey Sandrider, GOOD NEWS! MN Supreme Court rules 5-0 for Franken. He's on his way!

I was training a group of teachers how to use Google Apps on Tuesday and when we were going over some of the trending searches and insights for search features the number one search in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area was John Wayne Gacy.

Thanks Michele Bachmann, for making a serial killer the top search in our area and giving us something fun to talk about.

If y'all think Sarah Palin is bad, just wait to you hear this right-wing nut.

No question. She is far more dangerous than a hundred Sarah Palins. She actually believes what she says.

My new step-mother after being confronted by all of the debunked statements Bachmann has made...

"Oh, those are just made up to attack her."

There is a hollowness in her that is down right unhuman. I would not be surprised if inside her head was a bad 60's sci-fi set of men with a blinky-light reel to reel computer controlling her.

I mean she looks programmed. Like someone took a human brain and erased everything, and started over. And on top of being a zealot they didn't know what they were doing.

Palin is just the same old same old power monger ego-trip. Bachmann is a machine.

Incidentally, I'd love for her to get the nomination. She's the worst possible candidate they could run and I don't just mean against Obama. The GOP would be committing suicide if they ever gave her the nomination, and I doubt the actual GOP leadership is that stupid.

Now a Palin/Bachmann ticket...would be absolute gold. Until Romney asks Palin to be his VP, and Palin and Bachmann shred each other.

It's not that I support her but that she leans towards me more than he does.

Bachman theocracy or Obama monarchy....

I'll go with the TEA Party.

I'd like to think any conservative nominee will be more fiscally responsible than Obama who seems like he's intentionally trying to run us into the ground.

She supports intelligent design? What a surprise.

Unfortunately, intelligent design is an easy option for politicians who want to pander to the religious right, or who think that teaching evolution is the same as teaching atheism (it isn't), or that teaching evolution alone is a freedom of speech issue (it isn't), or a freedom of religion issue (it isn't).

Federal schools are for creating an easily lead worker class. Letting them wonder where they came from is a good distraction.

A big push by some is to describe public schools as prep for college as if that will be the answer to everything, we are not an industrial economy, we are moving more and more towards a service economy where technology has made things so simple that business owners do not want people with a lot of skills, keeps wages low and they can replace any work with minimal training all while paying a wage that wouldn't support a married couple.

Freak, Bachman doesn't lean close to your views/values, she supports fucking over everyone but the plutocrats' running our country and bowing down to baby Jebus. Immigration? Scream and shout about the brown folk invading while fucking over those who pick the crops and do jobs cheaper than Americans are willing to do them. Why don't they support a worker program ot bring them in? We did that during WWII, hauling in Mexican pickers and farm hands to work alongside the German prisoners of war. Taxes? They want all the benefits of modern society but not have to pay for them. I like having public roads, I like having wild land firefighters, etc. Plus, there is a difference between state and federal taxes. Single largest tax increase in US history? Ronald Reagan.

Who should you vote for? The candidate that actually casts votes for items that actually have the least impact on you.

I don't much like the potential field of conservative candidates but any of them will do as a vote against being a subject in Obama's European-Socialist model. I think capitolism is better.

It would be nice if our politicians would stop campaigning and figure out something somewhere between, but that's not going to happen. America's "representative democracy" seems really good at nothing but polarizing the people.

I think she is yummy!

Is the transit story true?

Whats this about ID freakin in schools Gameplayer?
The transit story is indeed true, as is the support for teaching ID in schools. If I recall, there's another story of her lurking in some bushes at the capitol building spying on people as well. I'll see what else I can dig up on her. I actually know someone who was at a church when she was giving a speech that turned pretty weird.

She went to visit a school my mom works at last year in her district and my mom forwarded me some emails that were going around the building from teachers trying to avoid her and keep her out of their classrooms.
Wow, if you could a source for these crazy Bachmann stories that would be awesome.

Bachmann hides in the bushes to spy on gay rights advocates

April 8, 2005: When Bachmann tried to force a floor vote to create a state constitutional amendment to ban civil unions for gay couples, the Senate told her to take a hike. So she did -- outside to the Capitol grounds, where she spent an unknown amount of time lurking behind the shrubbery, spying on the rally OutFront Minnesota organized to protest her homophobic legislative tendencies. Her excuse: she was just sitting to rest because her heels were killing her. Right.

Ray Vandeveer made a video of Michele Bachmann asking passengers on the Hiawatha LRT if they paid their fare. This video was shown to House Transportation Finance Committee hearing on Thursday, April 14th, 2005. Michele BAchmann and Ray Vandeveer have refused to allow the public to view this video.
The proof for teachers hating her is well documented in emails between teachers across the state 8)

Man, if I have to say one more time that Obama is not a socialist my brain is going to explode, this is like telling someone over and over that the sun doesn't travel around the Earth... he is slightly, just slightly more socialist than Republicans. On the overall sceme of things from capitalist 100% to socialist 100% he's maybe 95% capitalist and the republicans are 96% more capitalist. The US already has major socialist elements woven into it's largely capitalist system, always has had these.

Canada is orders of magnitude more socialist than the USA and WE'RE still mostly capitalist.

The US is not a purely capitalist nation, say it with me folks, it's just that easy.

If Obama is a socialist so is every single Republican candidate who doesn't want to get rid of socialism in the USA (which is all of them as far as I know, haven't heard of a single full-capitalist one yet).
