Combining to minorities into a super minority is cheating!

minority and disabled? or disabled minority? or am I both at same time, or same time separate. do I qualify for money somewhere?

You can get a percentage of your social security if you can prove disability, I believe. And if you're white you're a minoity to the combined other minorities, appearantly.

So, there you go.

was just kidding, no money for me, I'm functional, more people out there deserving (keyword)with bigger health/mental/physical issues than I'll ever have. We put ourselves in so many groups and categories, you can be in a majority and a minority at the same time.

Alright, ignoring the fact that it's FOX, we have a guy making huge sweeping assumptions about why people voted how they did, and then saying that those neighborhoods are the way they are because of the black people that represent those particular neighborhoods in government (right, every part of the world is exactly the way it is because of whoever is in charge of it... it's never something vastly more complicated than that right?). Viewers are meant to assume everything he says is true because he's black, why would he say those things if he's not black? Because he's dumb.

The guy is an idiot. Seriously. I've heard Glen Beck make more intelligent statements!

His point that the Tea Party is being scapegoated for certain things is valid, his reasoning for WHY they're not guilty of it, or WHY they're being targeted as the scapegoat is completely invalid and frankly once you dig past the surface it's gibberish.

And that's ignoring that it's on FAUX.

EDIT: ok, I may have been a little hard on him. Glen Beck is obviously dumber than this guy, this guy is just so clearly speaking bullshit that he's making up himself that he seriously sounds just like a kid making up a story for how the icecream got all over his clothes.

I'd certainly like to believe there are more stupid people that were charmed by Obamas rhetoric than racist people who voted for him because he was black.

I'm sure a lot of people did vote for him BECAUSE he was black, I have no problem believing that. But enough to get him elected?

Well, maybe against to McCain.

Maybe Obama didn't get elected because he was black, maybe McCain was just too damned white?

Oh definitely some people (probably lots) voted for him simply because he was black, no question at all. He beat McCain because he was offering something people wanted, and obviously a lot of people were simply tired of the Republicans after Bush. Your country seems to basically just swing back and forth between which party is in power, one does a term or two, then the other, then back again.

I feel for Obama simply because he's ahead of his time for the USA right now, he got elected at basically the worst possible time for himself (the country needed someone like him of course, but there's simply no way he could get everything accomplished he'd wanted). It'd be sad if he didn't get a second term, one term isn't really long enough to get all that much done I think.

It'll be interesting to see anyways, the country is almost perfectly split between left and right as far as the numbers go, so it seems to me like the reality is that a VERY small group of voters will really determine who wins. Because all your recent elections have been so nearly 50/50 I don't think either way represents what the country wants, it's just that small group of voters who swing back and forth between parties every election that actually make the difference.

I believe it was the Independant voters that decided the election in 2008.

But he's losing them fast.

They're the ones that decide all your elections as far as I can tell, hasn't pretty much every election, at least the last 3, maybe going back further, been almost a tie when looking at the popular vote?

Yep.

I think the last real "landslide" was Ronald Reagan's 58.8% to Walter Mondale's 40.6% in the 1984 presidential election.

So basically the candidate has to convince the people on the fence. :D
