Country code 27 would be South Africa, but they've no area codes starting with 6.

267 would be Botswana, but there's no 276 country code.

Oh well. :P

That kind of shit makes me sick. I had some experience with cheaters when I was a beta tester for America's Army.

My seven-year-old asked me to help him find cheat codes for his game the other day and I almost slapped him.

It doesn't have to be cheats, you know.

In this lame game I play a higher level player can team up(form a "party") with a lower level player, still killing his usual monsters, with the lower player just following. That way the lower player gets much more XP than usual, and the higher player gets less than his usual.
People usually do this for ingame money, or that stupid "friendship" thing I hear still hasn't phased out yet.

Do you think that was how the developers intended the game to be played?

I'm sure they wanted you to gain your own experience.

With our kids we have a rule. They must finish/win the game on their own at least once before they are aloud to look up any "cheat codes"

Good rule. I never saw the point of cheats in games.

Somewhat unrelated, but if my uncle catches his kids downloading music (without paying) he makes them go buy the CD of whatever they were stealing.

I agree with your uncle. No pirating around here.

Yeah, that's good.

Of course they're getting "my" xp, that's the point.
The payoff is that they're paying for it.

I just don't trust anyone to pay me(though I'm sure most of the serious ones would, not the desperate begging type) and I hate "grinding" for someone else.

The game not only enables it, it encourages it because there's a class and sub-class that mainly heals others and buffs them(i.e casts benefficial spells), and for them to actually get any xp etc they have to partner with someone, preferablly someone significantly higher.

So either you get healed and buffed for it, or you get payed, or maybe just because it's your friend, you can power-level them and it's not at all considered a cheat(though I do despise people lazy enough to pay for it, though not healers since that's how their system works).
