Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

Photos from our new exhibition in city of Poznan. It's a double exhibition Dune and 'Eternal Love' Project. It also commemorates a honoris causa title for Polish professor.

It's a photo of Vice President of the Polish Dune publisher and corresponding drawing where she was drawn as a 3rd person from the left:

Hehe, maybe in the future ;) (HINT) If somebody would ask Mr Siudmak to come to a Worldcon (or other big convention) and would like to make such an exhibition it's a very good chance that he says yes ;) He was a Guest of Honor at Worldcon held in Boston. I don't remember which year was it.

Hmmm. One of the guests to the 2011 Renocon died (Charlie Brown), so there is a position open. I wonder how you go about getting someone invited? Not much of a conner myself.

Yes, I know. He was at Polcon in Poland few years ago. I think it's too late to invite him this year, but maybe next year? He also mentioned to me that it would be a good idea to make an exhibition in various city in States.

And this piece is outstanding. Do you know what it's cast from?

It's a miniature of Eternal Love sculpture on rotated basis. It's a photosensitive resin based on stereolithography image of prototype of his sculpture also based on his painting Eternal Love from 1981.

          Image

You could see this process on the pictures below. He finished and polished this resin by himself.

          Thanks. :D

And another Q, the prints, do they all have Dune as there inspiration or are some interpreted as being fitting?

They all have Dune as an inspiration, but mind of this artist is working in very mysterious ways ;) He is making references in his drawings to other ideas, art and future possible technology. That's why these drawings are rather a dialog with the books than simply illustrations of the story. It's his own interpretation of the ideas behind the story.

my implied question was along the lines of : what is the "involvement" of the "HLP" ? (meaning Brian Herbert who signs
what Keith & the Lawyers tell him to ...)(admittedly speculation, but I've no seen proof otherwise, and this speculation
accounts for 100% of the "HLP's" behavior in the McDune Era ...)

          also, from the photos, I was struck by how beautiful, professional, and serious this exhibit is;
perhaps best explained by the non-involvement of the "HLP"; if this thing was held in America, it would
be in the circular foyer around a basketball arena, or the side banquet rooms of a Marriott Hotel; Keith
would be sitting there in a folding metal chair behind a folding 6-foot banquet table badly skirted with
pleated orange nylon & polyester, HellHole posters duct-taped to the concrete-block wall behind
him, cardboard boxes of non-revenue-generating trade paperbacks, pre-signed, strewn about ... two of
the five stormtroopers of the 501st "Honor Guard" would be twitching back and forth between Internet
Tough Guy and Sheer Fucking Terror that the OH was about to show up and give them wedgies thru their
buttplate armor, two of the 501ers would be standing in front of the candy machines, helmets off, arguing
who would win Darth Vader vs. Sheena Queen of the Jungle if Sheena had one of those double light
saber things or unobtainium grenades ... the fifth one would be pretending to adjust his utility belt's
rigging to his codpiece armor plate but actually masturbating to the two fat chicks who showed up in the
Princess Leia Slave Girl costumes ... and the public attendance to the exhibit would be zero ...

          Very nice summary ;)

It is very serious exhibition. Mr Siudmak is an old school perfectionist in everything he do. I'm also like him in my areas of interest ;)
This exhibition is held in politechnic conference buildings. 2 projects are very important to him - 'Eternal Love' Project under the auspices of Unesco and the Dune project. On his exhibitions there are always VIPs such as politicians, majors, governors, another famous artists, actors, professors, etc. We are trying to raise the level of each exhibition in next place we are going to. On each vernissage, where the artist is present, there are hundreds of people. Usually between 200-400. 7 years ago when he had an opening in capital city of Poland - there was 1000 people on the opening. There was also a record of attendance in 2003. He had this year exhibitions in 9 national museums in Poland. There were over 400000 people visiting those museums this year. The highest number from all exhibitions in 2003.

How's Wojo's English and Sense of Humor ?
I'd love to have him here ....
          Very nice summary ;)
and the sad, stupid thing is: altho couched in satirical language with exaggerations for comic-effect,
no sane, rational Adult could argue with the basic description of what an "exhibit" like this would
look like with Keith of McDune involved ...

          maybe that's another one of my problems with him, personally - the man is White Trailer-park Trash;
he has no sense of refined culture, serious academia, art ... everything is a Saturday Morning Cartoon
to him ... he appeals to the Lowest Common Denominator of Juvenile Adults because he is himself
a Juvenile Adult of the Lowest Common Denominator ... and that's just fine & dandy, if he had stayed in
own catshit-filled sandbox with his StarWars Action Figures ... but he has ended up in control of the
publishing rights to one of the Great American Classics of Literature ....

dang, I got myself all riled-up & mad, again ....
I think I keep thinking this is all some kind of elaborate innerwebz-troll-4the-lulz , harmless because it is
not real, it's only happening in webspace .... and then it sneaks up and slaps me on the back of the necks and
toe-kicks me in the nads and runs off and hides and I get .... mad ...

He has very good sense of humor but knows only French and Polish.
I was attending his lecture, during this exhibition, titled 'Imagination is more important than knowledge - Influence of art on science'. It was very entertaining and instructive lecture. He showed over 100 slides ;)
He has very good background in arts. He studied at the College of Plastic Arts in Warsaw from 1956 to 1961 and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1961 to 1966. In September 1966, he arrived in France to continue his studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1967 and 1968.
He has also 45th anniversary of creative work this year.
