Hello everyone,

We have here in Poland very interesting project connected with polish editions of Dune. Wojciech Siudmak, well known artist, illustrated these editions and his 70 drawings are currently on exhibition in museum very near the border with the Germany.
Also there are a few (65) books from my collection of (almost 680) Dunes and 6 props from Children of Dune miniseries.
On Saturday I have a lecture about my Dune collection in this museum ;)

This is the first exhibition on that scale and there will be many more, not only in Poland but also in France.

Please see the pictures: http://www.rebis.com.pl/rebis/public/ne ... l&parent=0

Anyway I'm looking for the guy who has equal or better collection than mine in terms of quality and quantity. Feel free to tell us about your treasures ;)

For example mine are 5 first editions 1 printings Dunes (from Messiah to ChoD) all with autograph of FH. As of Dune by Chilton - I have printings from 1 to 9, where 2nd, 3rd and 5th are also signed.

That's quite the entrance. I doubt you'll find anyone here who can compete with you in terms of collection size and quality, but there are people here who are amonst the best educated in Dune on the planet.

Hi Kwisatz! Long time since I have heard from you. Those pictures are really great. That artist is still one of my favorite Dune artists. Those are the French covers done by a Polish artist, or the Polish covers done by a French one? I forget.

You are quite right in both ways. Those are polish covers, but some of them the french ones too done by polish artist who lives in France ;)

Interesting thing is that some of them was used in different volumes - for example cover of french Dune Messiah is used in polish Butlerian Jihad.

Other thing is that me and my fiancee were models for one of the drawings by Siudmak in Children of Dune. I impersonate Farad'n. And I know of 2 other famous polish people whose faces are on these drawings.

I closely cooperate with Siudmak on several art projects inspired by Dune and in a few months from now we will have a new site when you can buy them - mostly hand made by Siudmak or other artists that cooperate with us.

I can't reveal much now, because we still working on several projects. For example there will be several bookmarks made of different metals even silver based on Siudmak's drawings. There will be huge emperor's throne made of brass with several hawks' heads on armrests. I think this throne will be on exhibition in Cavaliere, France this summer. We have several other potential projects, but that's all information for now. ;)

well keep us posted, Cavaliere is "close" to where my girlfriend lives and I'd be quite curious to see that!

There are 39 Dune drawings, 26 Dune books (2 whole French sets + international editions), 6 costumes, 3 jewelry sets.

Enjoy!

Cool.

(Isn't this the sort of thing you would expect the HLP to want to be involved in? ;) )

They are all also available on canvas in various formats. Just PM me to order ;)
