Congrats for getting those printer's proofs!
Did you find them on eBay or some kind of live auctions?

No, they were posted to a book seller's online store and I spotted them there.
I've never seen that style of proof before, so I was intrigued.

I looked through your photo gallery recently. You've added a lot!

I'm still trying to get at least one copy from each of 50 countries Dune was published. There is now 41 countries in my collection and 1360 books in overall. I also have complete collection from 11 countries.

My first time posting here.

Did you get those ARCs from Hydraxia Books? As a collector of ASOIAF saga books, I had few correspondence with Simon at Hydraxia and he is world class :)

Fantastic collection from everyone! I am just starting out with collecting specifically to Dune :)

Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

Glad to have you! Did you have any problem signing up? It's been an issue recently

Except the waiting part, everything went smoothly!

It is insane how much knowledge there is in this forum. It would take years for me to ponder!

My Frank Herbert collection, primarily of the Berkley 'Dune' font versions. The green "√" indicates the titles I've read.

Wow, cool! I think I have all of those, except for the D:E and Direct Descent.

Cheers! The Direct Descent is an illustrated version.

I have just finished the Pandora series, D:V was heavy going, TJI was interesting, TLA was good, and TAF was Ok enough. Some pretty interesting themes woven throughout, as was Uncle Frank's MO – ecology, environmentalism, social inequalities, religiosity, totalitarianism, romance. I enjoyed the series.

Nice. I actually enjoy D:V by far the most, and my liking for them goes down a bit with each book. But there's good stuff in all of them.

Not sure which book to read next; my wife actually picked up The White Plague, which I haven't read yet, and informed me that it was highly depressing. Then again in my experience females seem to have different reactions to Herbert's books than guys do.
