 ... clearly!

I just returned from my vacation to Romania and found two Romanian translations for my collection. One is Dune Messiah and the other is the "second book" book of Dune "Muad'Dib". It is not easy to find these older translations but I do have at least two out of eight now.

Congrats! I don't have any Romanian editions yet ;) I'm close now to have all titles in Hebrew and Czech.

Not really a collection, but just what I have so far:

That one came in really good condition from eBay and has a plastic cover over it. Either someone liked to keep their books in top notch condition or they thought this copy was important. Can anyone tell me anything about it from this?

Just got these two in the last few days:

Ascension Factor has the number line of 1st edition - maybe it's the reason.

Does the number line necessarily mean 1st edition, or are there other criteria?

(Would be so awesome if it was, since if I remember correctly, I got it fairly cheap.)

In this case number line will be enough. I assume that is a HC edition.

Full list:
USA
UK
Australia
Poland (all editions)
France
Germany
Spain
Catalonia (not a country yet, but still different language) (1 and only edition)
Italy
Netherlands
Denmark (almost all editions)
Sweden (all editions)
Hungary
Romania
Turkey
Czech Republic
Russia
Israel
Japan
Taiwan (2 of 4 known editions)
Thailand

with Catalonia it's a 21st country actually ;)

EDIT:
Hmm, I omitted one country - Belgium. I have a Dune Storybook from that country if that counts ;) 22 in overall.

Congrats on that find.
Didn't you also have the Vietnamese one?
Also, isn't the Australian the same as the UK?

Outstanding, I'm aspiring to do that to expand collection myself. I think I have at least every version of the US for DUNE. The cover art on all of them is addictive. I wish I had the money to buy one of the large digital frames (poster size or larger) and put those on my walls at home with the rotating art from the covers and other Dune stuff. They are just cost prohibitive, but Im going to find a way some how.

Very good idea with this digital frame. I have a small one (10") as a wedding gift and I'll try this with my covers ;)

Do you have also this very rare edition http://www.arrakis.co.uk/duneltd.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I guess you needed a doorstop for the vault where you keep your Dune collection.

I could provide almost every Polish addition. Right now I'm in the middle of buying those for ULFSurfer and LetoII in the past.
And I also have second version of this Easton Press edition with leather and gold for sale if you also need it ;) Just PM me for details.

You might be able to see Dune under the Ollie North book.

Congratz mate!
Isn't there a story behind the one from Gregg Press?
 :D
Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by story? There is a pretty long introduction by Joseph Milicia who analyses the book nicely.
