Thanks for reminding me about this. Because if it's not a joke, I will always wonder if he got his copy of Dune back.
I think he did actually. From what I recall, the details were truer than you would've thought.
To be fair, the sentiment expressed in that post rings a little bit false, but everything else in that post is true. Except that I wouldn't describe them as "brown" stains.

P.S. The book was, indeed, returned. I think she touched it once, and it burned a hole in her skin.

While looking for something at Dune Novels to poke fun at, this was at the top of the 45 replies is the Sisterhood section.

Amazing!

Took a look and found;
Locus Bestsellers, April 2012 wrote:Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson’s newest collaboration, Sisterhood of Dune, debuted at the top of the hardcover list this month, with A Dance with Dragons by George R.R. Martin a distant second
I agree, i'm amazed, but for reasons that are likely at odds with Byrons.

Meanwhile;
Byron wrote:"SISTERHOOD is the first novel in a trilogy, so there are two more books coming."
<later he writes>
"There have been no solid plans made beyond the current trilogy...The next one is due out January 2014. Then the final one in 2016."
Could it be? Is the end in sight?
Does it matter if they keep writing?
Leto II is gone for good, except for OM. The "pearl" was just that; a miniscule portion of what Leto was, and not a compressed version of the whole. The pearl that the worms have do not make them Leto, or in any way similar to him.

Nah, he just means the final one in the current Great Stools trilogy. ;)

Are there any plans to finish the heroes trilogy?
Maybe. But, again, no solid plans.

But it's all already plotted in Frank Herbert's grand 16,000 year outline... :cry:

What would he say if the third of that entirely-unconnected-and-defiantly-not-a-series of books went unwritten?

You have? I couldn't find it. Deleted already?

EDIT: my mistake. It was just not worth reading, so I missed it.

What possible motivation could you have for doing such a thing?

I like how he picked this thread to tell us this. Is he saying it should be deleted?

I wonder if Byron has almost undeleted his board?

http://forum.dunenovels.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; says "Sorry, but this board is currently unavailable.
Please try again later."

When was the last time anyone actually looked at that thing?

Edit: Wasn't "Mentats of Dune" actually published? You can't tell from
the Official Website.

Wow, so i just spent all evening re-reading all 93 pages of this thread.

We did a good job, too. If Byron's Bored really IS dead, then it was
a very good call to copy-pasta the cream of the stupid word-for-word,
instead of just linking, as was periodically suggested. In the future,
no-one would believe it possible that a Corporate Franchise like "Dune"
would have had an Official Website so over-flowing with ass-hattery and
fail, admin'd by a spineless, cowardly, self-contradicting sack of weasel shit.

Also, Freak - Jacurutu is the number one search result for "dune forum"
on every engine I tried. We won, brother. We fucking WON.

It has been on Google for YEARS! I try pitching us on FB Dune pages now and then but then but they are so filled with Preeks I'm not sure I want them here, other than just someone to fight with.

I do get a lot of likes when I comment on what garbage the hacks' books are though, so there's still some OH out there...

It feels like it has been years since I proxied myself to that horrible forum. It being down could be considered a Orthodox victory?
