That guy's just a hater. Plenty of people like the new books. Besides, what's he ever written, so how would he know? I mean at least it's a new Dune story out there right? I would think that Brian would know better about where to take the series since he was Frank's son after all. There are plenty of people who like it (it's an international bestseller) so just let them enjoy it and leave the new books alone. He doesn't have to read them if he doesn't like them.

Totally agree! Brian is,after all, working from his fathers notes. Plenty of people? Millions of fans love the new books compaired to a few people on the internet.
Think about all the new readers this has brought to Dune, a science fiction book that has been in print for almost fifty years!

Poor Nico... There very nearly are too many insulting anomolies to list and he chooses one bunches involvement in historical events as bases for his conversion?
Well whatever...
Perhaps when I read blisteredhood of poon i'll realise what a great job they're doing and send them their first letter of apology from a detractor.

Yep. Nico's good people, folks. He was active on the old Dune group on MySpace, and I'm pretty sure he has an account here, too.

We didn't always agree even on canonical stuff, but his disdain for the McDune crap has been growing over the years. This has been a long time coming...

Now if we can just change his mind about the way the B Jihad happened. He was pretty set on it happening like Brian and his Brain layed it out. :?

Guess he's done with Dune though. Oh well.

I imagine he had plenty of opportunities to figure out Jacurutu exists. Hence he could have found a safe-haven for his genuine Dune feelings. If he hasn't yet ... fuck him!

He's actually kinda interesting and funny in real life. Or at least that was my impression in the old days from what I saw on MySpace.

I've never tried DN forums before but looked around their dead board some today and wasn't impressed. Although Byron did link to an interview with Zoe Saldana and she mentions re-reading Dune while filming Colombiana.

Was in love with her physical beauty after seeing the Star Trek remake. Now I'm in love with her mind. :D
