Maybe you don't have interest in this news, but I thought you would be pleased in some way to know that Frank Herbert's original legacy still continues to last in other parts of the world.

In the last days all the six novels of the Chronicles have been republished at the same time in Italy, by a new editor who really cares about SF (and this, I assure you, in my country is a rarity). Obviously, on DuneItalia we are celebrating for this news, and we hope that this will be the prelude to see a reissue of other novels by Frank Herbert (unfortunately this possibility also holds for McDune, for which I'm not that happy )

That is good news.

Especially if you get the other FH books republished, which I do not think has happened in English. The only FH book other than a Dune book I've been able to buy new is The Jesus Incident.

I really hope they'll decide one day to republish other FH's novels as well, since they are almost impossible to find (moreover, some other novels and works by FH have never been translated in Italian, for example in the Pandora/WorShip books they stopped at The Jesus Incident).

If I remember well, a while back TOR republished some of FH's other novels, including The Jesus Incident, Destination:Void and The Santaroga Barrier. Indeed, a complete reedition of all his novels and and short stories would be much appreciated, instead of new "Dune" books...

Been absent for a while, but stopped back by and saw this. It peaked my interest because I happen to live in Italy at the moment, and I'm just down the road from Rymoah! (Dove sei? A Ghedi!
