The Nebula Awards ballot has been announced. Kevin J. Anderson's name does not appear anywhere. That's strange to me; I thought he was like, you know, the king of awards.

+++++

Bonus! Ursula K. LeGuin, one of the "critical darlings" that sends KJA into fits of jealous rage, does appear. :)

Nebula? pfft. Call me when the Hugo's get announced.
"Badges? We don't need no steenking Badges!"

Like his writing, the only awards worth mentioning are the one's he's already been nominated for. If he ever wins one it will only mean that we've hit such a low that the only shit published that year was so bad that Kevin J Anderson won.

or he gets shot Anders-style and it releases all the memories and abilities he should have had and he pulls together a masterpiece.

So I guess there's no hope of suicide over this?

I can see it now...

Rebecca: Dear, they skipped over you for a nomination again.
Kevin: Damn them! How many books do I have to write???

It would be more KJA's style to murder the winning authors and then 'quel with their children

...Still - if it makes him leave Dune alone for a bit :P

GRRM should win all of it! All of it I say! :x
In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

How about this...

Kevin goes back in a time machine and sets up the deaths of various SF authors, goes back to the future, befriends their children and writes 'quels.

Oh, did I mention Kevin is a robot? Yeah, a robot ninja. Cool.

If someone wrote that book I would have to read it.

lol or goes back, kills them while holding onto copies of their books and then goes back and gets credit for writing them all. he knows that's the only way he'd ever get his name on a book worth reading
You think thats a fool-proof plan, but he'd find a way to screw even that up.

Keith will have to wait another year for his Hugo, too, it looks like ... not on the ballot at all.

*snort*

But, by God, guess who is? Our good friend Mike Resnick.

I guess the guy can write. Too bad he's such a fucking blowhard.
