I'm all for it, if they let me get brain implants The singularity may have already happened.Drunken Idaho wrote:Ooohh he talks about the singularity!
Is everyone else looking forward to the singularity, or will you be among those who fear it? I'm all for it... The whole mortality thing is getting old.

on living for ever
No. I refuse to become part of some Hive-Mind, some inhumane creature forced to share my thoughts with other inhuman creatures with human mids.Drunken Idaho wrote:Ooohh he talks about the singularity!

Of course, there was a whole book written on tat subject, about how the hero didn't want to give up his humanity to save the greater whole of humanity and several other things. You should read; Its not really a good book but the message it carrieswill make you think twice about what you said.

Nothing wrong with that. They make nice cheese, pies and pickles.
(If you're ever heading up or down 23 in central Ohio, be sure to stop by Renicks (maybe two n's?) Family Market and sample their wares. Mmmmm...good! Not sure they're exactly Amish, tho. )

It's a rather lame movie with Jim Carrey...
I especially hate how more than half-way into the film, he's STILL surprised at every little thing that turns up 23... You'd think it would get old, even for him. I know it did for me... It's your typical split-personality bullshit movie.

The 23 ENIGMA
That's actually a real concept; 23 is the ultimate synchornociety in the universe, first discovered by William S. Burroughs in the 60's. If you pay attention, you'll see it pop everywhere.
But what doe it all mean?

Those dolts are also victims of a subconscious (if that) selectivity, in which they are subject to suggestive patterns.
