It's the one where Bond gets 'killed' and buried at sea at the beginning.

I liked the fundamentals embodied in Brosnan's Bond and enjoyed the new take on his circumstances (post-Cold War, female boss, etc). Plus Brosnan was perfect for the role. The casting for Goldeneye was also brilliant, with ever engaging Sean Bean playing a perfect Bond villain as Trevelyan, the always watchable Robbie Coltrane as the hilarious Valentine and Judi Dench ate up the role as M. I know Goldeneye, and Brosnan in particular, are under scrutiny given the reboot of the franchise and the major shift of cinematic/dramatic styles in our new reality-obsessed media. But much like Connery, I have nothing but fondness for Brosnan's Bond and though Goldfinger and Goldeneye have aged, I'll always love those particular Bond films. Eventually Casino Royale will be dated as well and when cinematic/dramatic styles change yet again, Craig's Bond will be criticized as too stoic, humorless and lacking refinement. It's just the way popular style works; it cyclical.DuneFishUK wrote:Goldeneye was a bit rubbish.. but it was a bit clever about the fact the cold war had ended - how bond was a relic etc. Some good bits. For me though You Only Live Twice (best set design ever), Casino Royale and I quite liked License to Kill The rest just merge into one long ski-scuba-car-chase with lots of shooting and people being beaten up.
Is that anything like Cleopatra, Queen of Dnaiel?Sole Man wrote:I like Sean Connery and Dnaiel Craig
