I didn't like in the film how they created this Hollywood partisan enemy out of the oppressive government by making the leader this conservative villain. It totally undermined the message of Moore's original work and the reality of any extreme political spectrum. It was very disappointing since the rest of the film was done quite well.

on The Vth of november
I've been saying that all day. I even gave my copy of V FOR VENDETTA to a freind of mine to read.

Loved the movie, in love with the graphic novel.
The way government rises to power in the novel has this real background, England suffered with Tatcher and her conservatist party and that reference shows in the novel. Make the whole thing a conspiracy and it loses most of the novel's essence.
While the movie has this nice direct and straightforward story and narrative, the novel carries in itself a lot more elaborate and deep substance and meaning.

I hate that movie and everything it stands for.
I didn't like it when I first saw it, and now that I've read the book, I don't like it all.
Alan Moore's right- All of the adaptations of his works are garbage. (Or rubbish, as his people say) I think WATCHMEN's going to suck too, but I still have to see it.

I wrote it like that on purpose. Saying otherwise would be admitting KJA knows how to use proper grammar.
