RvB...Lives!

Post by orald »

RvB have started their new series, Red vs Blue:Reconstruction, and I feel alot of "lolling" is imminent. :D

It'd be interesting how they'll merge the comical Blood Gulch with the more serious and dark mini-series they've produced in the meantime.

And figures they didn't kill Omega.

I just finished watching it. Not a strong start imo, but I chuckled when the guy said "We don't like the term experts."

Looking forward to the next installment just to see how Caboose messes everything up. :D

Yea, the start wasn't any good until that part, when you understand who they're gonna send him to(or at least dumb me only really got it then...I thought it'd drag as tedious and serious as the mini-series :? ).

RvB should be about bow-chicka-bow-wow's, baby hating, Griff killing and bad robotic Spanish, not like that mini-series.

Meh, it's been so long since I actually watched any of the old seasons. *sniff*

Not the choice of words I would've picked, but I wholeheartedly agree. :)

As usual I have no idea what this is about. What on earth is red vs blue?

RvB is a webcomic based of of a video game. A video game, I might add, whose only redeeming feature is neat graphics. The storyline sucked. The gameplay sucked.

It was an uncomplicated shoot em up for people with no taste- IE, little kids.

More precisely, it is a machinima web-series(i.e using a game engine to render scenes, essentially playing and dubbing it later with conversation, SFX etc) using the Halo: CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3 game engines.

Regarding the Halo games, I don't care, I've never played them(Well, I did d/l the first for PC recently, but my machine couldn't bloody handle even that! On the lowest settings! WTF?! Maybe the version was damaged or IDK :| ), and this is not about the games anyway.

I think you're refering to a web-comic, http://www.shamusyoung.com/twentysidedtale/?cat=14.

RvB is video based. Just visit them and watch...Better to watch the old seasons though, right now they've had a darker, more serious mini-series(read: boring) and only now will get back to the fun stuff.

I think that was the first thing of theirs I've ever watched. :D

I still try to quote it from time to time, but no one seems to get the refrence.

I was there for the first three seasons and most of the PSAs. It was okay. The novelty was mostly because I also played the first two Halo games and it was kinda geek chic with plenty of silly references for gamers and internet dwellers that most of my other friends didn't get :)

I agree with GP - the internet vs real life still hurts to watch.
