Its good, but its too dated to be considered one of the top five movies "evar." A movie has to be timeless for that to be the case.

Definitely one of my all time favorites, and it stands up well over the years.

Phallic symbols in the intro. Accurate action sequences. Plausible story line for the era. Classic lines. My favorite:

"I do not avoid women Mandrake, but I do deny them my essence."

"Mr President, we can not allow, a mine shaft gap!"

I took a film class at school (University of Illinois) as a free elective, and this was one of the classics we had to watch.

Bring on the polls

It's Kubrick, so it rocks. But his other movies would definitely compete better for my top five list than Dr. Strangelove.
