Besides Chig and Freak, that is. I cut my teeth on Usenet back in '95 or so, and I still prefer the format to these here fancy Net based boards. Anyway, just wondering if anybody else from alt.fan.dune was here.

a.f.d is pretty dead. Tony seems to be going to Herculean efforts to come up with some questions that are sometimes insipid, sometimes interesting.

It was super active 8/9 years ago when I first started lurking/posting. Gunnar was still there, as well as a bunch of people I can't remember. Sam (Wild Monkshood) has been there since before I ever showed up.

I wish php had an all text, nested format.

HoosierDaddy is here on Jacurutu now. I first ran into him on alt.fan.dune.

It's funny, I first found out about the news group from The Almighty Zeus (TAZ) when we were going at it on Wikipedia. He used to froth and gnash his teeth there (and later, on the DN BBS) about "alt.fan.dune! alt.fan.dune! Den of iniquities and lies!!!", so naturally I had to check it out.

Sometimes it seemed almost like he wanted people to go check it out.

(He's not terribly bright, though, poor thing.)
