I still have to go through "The Dark Side of the Moon" in depth. I've heard most of the tracks over the years, but never really sat down to the whole thing. But it's a concept album, so it's important to listen to the album in one session.

I only listen to entire albums. That's why the internet fad of downloading songs has never appealed to me.GamePlayer wrote:I still have to go through "The Dark Side of the Moon" in depth. Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

BS.
I've had enough with this nostalgic view of things.
Music today sucks the same as it sucked 10, 20, 30 and 50 years ago.
There was always bad music, and probably in similar precentages too.
The reason this whole song d/l thing started is because it's much easier and more efficient/cheap than buying a whole album with several songs you don't like/like less.
Instead you buy only the songs you like the most and end up paying less.

Pretty much the same here. I am a big fan of 70's rock, but I also love the stuff that was coming out in the early 90's before Britney Spears ruined music for all of us. With the 90's stuff, Ill get songs. With the 70's, albums only.Freakzilla wrote:I only listen to entire albums. That's the point, genius. They're saying that when you buy an album, there shouldn't just be one or two good songs, they should ALL be good. Modern mainstream music fails pretty hard at that, but a lot of older music actually didn't.orald wrote:BS.

Hmm, I doubt that. I think y'all just got used to hearing full albums even with the weak songs in, and now that all these new devices(since the casette really, but more so with disks etc) provide easy going between songs people just skip them. Kinda like the TV remote.Phaedrus wrote:but a lot of older music actually didn't.

One morning(or noon) you'll wake up with a terrible hangover and a naked guy sleeping next to you. You've been warned.AToE wrote:Alcohol though...

Oh c'mon, you knew someone would mention Hitler sooner or later.
And leave it to the sexual confused jew to do so

1. It's "sexually". Unless I'm "sexual" and then I'd have to say I'm getting scared by you. Stop starring at me!
2. "Confused"? I'm not sure where you've seen any confusement around here.
3. "Jew". Clearly, this is another typical anti-semitic attack by the filthy gentiles!
BTW...
Creed sucks! I hate you, and I hate the bands you like!

I'm barely 19. I started listening to classic rock a year or two ago.orald wrote:Hmm, I doubt that. I had to look up who that was, actually. And I don't think I've ever even heard of any of her music. Odd.Omphalos wrote:Not if you consider Alannis Morisette classic.Phaedrus wrote:I'm barely 19. No, I'm referring to say, the Who, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, things like that. You know, good music.
