I must have missed something

Um, this is probably a really stupid question to ask..
But I've perused these boards for a while, enjoying the great writings of wisdom in this Sietch, and I noticed just recently that the user Chanilover got banned.
I was under the impression he was well liked and vice versa - what happened?
Seems like this happened relatively recently, too.
