It's a week from today, and I wanted to wish good tidings to you all.

Merry Xmas. It's a secular holiday that PURELY BY CHANCE happens on the same day as Christmas and uses an X instead of Christ. Purely by chance.

Paul of Dune was so bad it gave me a seizure that dislocated both of my shoulders and prolapsed my anus.

Merry Christmas, and that Lego set makes me so nostalgic! (those your kids?)
When Paul was three I found him wearing lingerie I was planning to wear for my Duke. I asked him: "How can this be?" and he answered: "For I am the Kwisatz Haderach!" I was proud since these were the first words Paul ever spoke, but now I knew for certain that my Paul was a special boy. I brought him to Duncan's room while he was busy "training" a young maidservant in the Art of Sword-Handling. My Paul shall be the best! - Tleszer

The bags of legos were numbered in order of appearance. My son couldn't wait and opened them all. 1,254 pieces.

Two instruction books.

This is very bad for my blood pressure.

Not pictured:

The seats for the gun turrets are there, the ramp, smuggling compartment.

Surprising amount of detail.

Got a happy 10-year-old boy

Got one of those many moons ago. Still have it sitting on top of a wardrobe.

I had an earlier version about 10 years ago but this one is much better.

That is so great. Happiness is a put together Lego Millenium Falcon.

Dude, that Millennium Falcon is *cool*.

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.

I built one when I was a kid but it wasn't from a kit. It wasn't as cool as that one, but it DID have an engine that I built inside it (my cousin was in a group of kids that played some kind of role playing game with lego and had specific rules for what makes engines and what makes them go how fast, same with weapons, both involving the clear blocks/parts).

I was never NOT a nerd. Never.

Hell, I had some apprehension mentioning I had a Lego Millenium Falcon but apparently I'm in good company. :D

This is great. I was just thinking that I was so sick and stuffed from all the holiday treats and crap people keep dropping off at my office that I'm going to crap an entire gingerbread house, complete with gumdrops. And here, a gingerbread house. No poop though....
