Yeah, cool with the name change.
I like the Yankees personally...AL East kinda sucks though. You have five teams right now that could be first or second in any other division it seems. Oh well, still doing pretty good, although I doubt we'll go past the first round in the playoffs. I'm also glad to see the Phillies and Red Sox doing shitty. Philadelphia and Boston teams are always New York teams' nemeses. Although I'll admit in the NBA I dislike the Miami Heat much more than any other team in the league. In NBA, go Thunder (just cause they're playing the Heat), MLB: go Yanks!

Are the Tigers awakening?

I don't know, but the Braves have beaten the Nationals twice in a row which makes for a very happy weekend!

That puts us 6 1/2 games out of the division lead with 16 games to play... it seems like we have the wild card if we can't win the division.

Make that 5-1/2 games... SWEEP!

Freak, if things hold it seems like our boys will meet for a 1 game, winner take all wildcard extravaganza. Which really sucks. I do not like the one game playoff. Boo!!

Don't worry too much, the Braves excel at blowing it in the post season.

''You can't really win consistently until you lose,'' Medlen said. ''Losing's a big part of being able to win.''

Yankees won the AL East, as expected.

Also good to see the Red Sox fired Valentine...wish he could've stuck around more and driven the team into the ground even further. Seriously, have you ever seen a press conference with the guy!? He's a stuck-up, totally incompetent douche who never admits anything he does is a mistake...pretty recently he thought the Sox would get to .500 on the season. I'm talking, like, a month ago.

69-93. Good work bub.

My condolences Freak....talk about a tough loss.

In AL news,
Go Orioles! ( I like the Yankee's chances against them more than Texas --Rangers always make me nervous, man, especially around October.)

No argument there. That wasn't just bad, it was NFL-replacement-ref bad...

I (kind of) feel bad for the umpires trying to make it out of that ballpark alive...

By the way...

The Braves won the season series against the four other NL playoff teams, taking five of seven from the Dodgers, and four of seven from St. Louis, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh.

:D

Kershaw's real good. Should've been the NL starter for the All-Star game IMO.
Predicting Boston over Detroit in 6,
Dodgers over Cardinals in 7
World Series: Red Sox over Dodgers in 6.
