Everything influences everything

Post by Spicelon »

So I watched Titan A.E. last night. As movies go, it was so-so to sub so-so. But, there is a scene in there where the protagonist steals an alien ship and returns to his base ship, and his base ship companions almost shoot it down but somehow they find out it's him blah blah blah. This was, in essence, almost exactly like the BSG episode where Starbuck limps home on a Cylon Raider, narrowly averting getting destroyed by the Galactica. I can't help but think that RJ Moore ripped that off from Titan A.E.

Just sayin'.

I think the first time I saw something was in a WWII sub movie form the 50s.

Titan AE weren't the first neither.

Didn't KJA have something to do with Titan AE? That would explain the, um, "borrowing" of ideas....

I like it when one person's work influences another's, if it's good.
As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Hypatia approaches one.

One blends casually into the other.

And yes, KJA did the novelization.

I liked titan ae, it was what it was and didn't totally fail at it. definitely could have been better but it got sandwiched into the vice grips of adult animation, it can't be R rated because to many kids would get taken to see it anyway.

Hollywood needs to grow a pair.
