I really liked the movie, and it stands up well to repeaded viewings. It's my favoirte Gilliam flick. Great performances by Pitt and Willis. Even Stowe manages to do well, exceeding her usual screamy, "I'm helpless!" type of role (though that is how she is in the middle for a bit.
It's worth watching La Jetee as well, which is on iTunes and I have seen on Netflix in the past.

Speaking of Gilliam, has anyone seen The Zero Theorem?

I just saw the pilot episode, actually, and i thought it was very good. I think it perfectly captures what the world would be like in that era if the Nazis had won. It looks so bleak and gloomy, and even depressing. But most important, it feels realistic. The dialogue is not very good, though, imo, and I found the characters boring a few times. Overall I was pleased with the episode. I haven't read the book yet.
I watched this yesterday, I'm hooked.

Cool! Any idea when it will be broadcasted/released?

They haven't announced a release date yet, it's too early, but I would imagine it will be broadcast/released no sooner than 6 months from now. At least that, it will almost certainly take longer.

I watched Going Clear, the Scientology documentary a few days ago, highly recommended.
I always just thought it was a harmless cult that siphons money off of naive celebrities, but some of the stuff in there was pretty scary. Also made me want to read some of Hubbard's SF.

Lucy. I think the premise is nonsense but it was entertaining. And Scarlet Johanson.
And I watched Fury, again.
Tusk... disturbing.
Interstellar... Very interesting with a trippy ending.

I really liked Interstellar. Lucy was pretty good. Scarlet. Boobs. I'd buy that for a dollar.

disguised Elron.

Eva Green boobs and more: Watch "Penny Dreadful" and "Camelot". Both are bad tv series, but Eva Green ... and boobs.

I don't think they have boobs.
Have they?
And there is a sequel to Sin City?

That could do the trick when I can't give my full attention but need a reason not to get bored.

Mad Max: Road Fury
A great action film to be sure, but more than that the desert felt very Dune. Shai'Hulud would not have been out of place.
I don't want to spoil anything, but there is one gang that looked quite Fremen in their garb.
