I think it could have been much better but didn't ask for my money back, LOL! The kids liked it.

Napoleon Dynamite. Absolutely hilarious film.

Dying to see this one. One of my favorite short stories ever.

Also want to see Dr. Strange.

It was visually very impressive and the story was good. The scene after the credits was funny.

I loved those 60's and 70's acid-tripy comics. Marvel had Dr. Strange and Nick Fury: Agent of Shield. A few others, but those two were tops. I've obviously only seen the trailers so far but it looks like that aspect of the comics survived the transfer to the big screen.

Doctor Strange. Probably my second favourite Marvel film after Ant-Man. I hope Spider-Man tops them both though.

Dr. Strange is Iron Man on Shrooms:

Let's see:

Rich, brilliant playboy who's defined by his arrogance
Suffers a horrible injury and grows a beard
Finds a way to deal with that injury that involves gaining powers and learning from a wise mentor who ends up dying
Gets a sweet goatee
Yep, Doctor Strange and Iron Man have mostly identical arcs, except Doctor Strange is wayyy trippier.

My Neighbour Totoro. :D

The music reminded me a lot of The Legend of Zelda. Wonderful, but it ended way too soon.

Tonight I watched Blue is the Warmest Colour.

Pretty amazing, although I will warn anyone who wants to watch it that there are a lot of graphic sex scenes.

Yeah I saw Blue as well a ways back.

Feels more accurate to say they were actually having sex on screen rather than it being acted out.

rewatching Outcasts on Sci-fi, decent series it feels like no one has heard of. (1 season only)

Last three films in the theatre:

Casablanca I'm shocked! Shocked! There is gambling at this establishment! Excuse me sir, your winnings. Oh, thank you!
Collateral Beauty Kiera Knightley, minor film, parts of the movie are better than the whole.
Rogue One Way better than The Force Awakens.

Also have watched
Keanu I actually had fun watching
Batman Vs Superman needed more Wonder Woman

Arrival. Seeing Villeneuve's direction has for once and for all convinced me that he is the man for Dune, especially in the way he handled the "prescience" aspect of the story.

Yeah Rogue One was damn good. Aside from the score I felt like it was a very solid addition to the SW canon.

I'm one of those people who hated Force Awakens. It did a few things really well and everything else was way to safe or just a blatant rip-off of the OT.

I enjoyed Rogue One as well. They did a seriously good job with that one.

Watched Ex Machina and Passengers recently. I enjoyed them both a lot. Passengers is somehow a mix of sci-fi disaster and a romance. I had heard negative things, so I went in with low expectations but I enjoyed it a lot. Looked and sounded real good.

My thoughts exactly. With the Force Awakens I walked out of there thinking that someone wrote a Joseph Campbell-like description of A New Hope, then gave it to someone who had never seen the movie and told them to write a movie called The Force Awakens from it. I imagined it had things like "a funny-talking little alien gives wisdom of the universe and a new religion, then talks about a sword made of pure light," and " the elder character who gives knowledge and truth to the younger characters is run through with a sword on a bridge, by the bad guy who wears all black and hides his face from the world."

Rogue One? I saw it yesterday with the family in a brand-new, high tech theater. Nice flick. But if any of those dead characters ever come back into a movie set later in time, I am going to have conniptions.

Hacksaw Ridge was the last movie I saw in the theater. I know they condensed the timeline for the movie but still...a stirring story.

Assassins Creed and Storks.

It was kinda funny sitting next to my son as he sighed and growled at different parts "they got wrong" in the Assassins Creed movie. He sounded like Spiff did during the John Carter movie back in 2012.
But I thought the movie was enjoyable. There were things that I noticed that didn't make much sense or thing that if one person had done something different then the whole movie plot would have changed. If you are a person who is a purest who enjoys the game , you can still enjoy the movie but you will see discrepancy

Storms was just a cute laugh. A movie to relax and just enjoy some silliness. Loved the wolves in the movie.

This is exactly what I was saying in my head the moment before I read this sentence.

I've been there myself.
