Agreed, it's not a linear scale at all, and yeah I'd never rate someone who'd be below a 3 (because that's where "plain" is on my scale, so it's equivalent to your 4) because that would just be mean.
I'd add one extra caveat, which is that a particular look (as in way of presenting oneself, including dress, hair etc.) can have huge impact on whether or not I think someone is attractive. And I don't mean someone having a bad day, just a different style.
Totally. I see a girl done up like a bar hopping slut and she goes down on the scale. Put her in some nice clothes, maybe some dreadlocks (or not, they work for some girls), nice tattoos, punch some holes in her face and fill them with chunks of metal... or not, some girls look great without ink/piercings.

EDIT: I still want to see pics of what some of your tastes are, get posting in the hot girls/boys thread already! Objectifying people is all good as long as it's all in good fun and we're not actually objectifying people literally in our minds.

what no mention of personality or intellect?

I think Thing mentioned those as one of his caveats. Certainly I find it attractive if a woman is into mathematics for example.

Oh yeah, what's in the brain is big in my books. So a person has their spot on the attractiveness scale based on sight alone, then they can go up or down from there based on their minds. Also sometimes people can slide around a lot just based upon how long you've been looking at them, you notice more things you like or more things you don't.

If a girl is into astrology they look a lot more like some kind of rodent to me for example. Big into astronomy though, up they go on the scale!

For just casual dating and/or sleeping with (riiight, kidding myself that any of that's been happening lately... soon to be rectified though! :D ) I need them to be not an idiot to the point where it annoys me, but if I'm actually going to be with a girl then I absolutely require someone who I consider to be smarter than myself in at least some areas, and a better human being than myself in at least some areas.

I don't want to be left in the dust and feel sub-par by comparison, but I need someone who I can respect, and that generally means someone who in some ways is better than myself.

I think of it as someone I can learn from and who wants to learn/find out more themselves as opposed to stagnating. Sounds cheesy but I reckon it's an important point.

Really? I'd say that girl is easily 10x better looking than Carrie.
No way.

Maturity, intellect, and personality. Works as strongly to me as looks.

Objectivity wise I am as shallow as any man:) TNA BABY!! Brunettes with voluptuous bodies!!

I'm funny because I'm so opposite of 95% of guys when it comes to TNA, I'm all about small breasts. Big breasts look nice in clothes, but then they're too mushy and flop around... no fun. Small perky FIRM for the win!

Man I'm weird.

No you're not. I am with you on the smaller breast department.

Excellent. The nice thing about most guys being into big breasted barbie doll/calendar girls is that it leaves more cute tiny girls for me! Hahaha!

Milla Jovovich
Natalie Portman
Catherine Keener
Michelle Pfeiffer
Cameron Diaz

Personality, hands down.
Followed by looks.
Of course, if I know a girl will put out, then nothing else matters.

I don't know if personality is the right word. It's what kind of person they are. I'd like to end up with a Christian woman, but I'm just not ready for all that, and maybe I never will be. So yeah, for now, what matters most is: Will she put out?

And I'd like to end up with a NOT Christian woman, so hey, more left for you right?!

Unfortunately it reminds me of the video she wore it for which was hardly watchable even while muted.
OH I would have to agree with you on that one - the guy they chose for the vocals was awful.

Rob
:sigh: I wish I could argue with that statement but its so true I can even think of a retort. I wanted to know so badly how season 2 would have turned out.

The Shat's evidently going to be on Piers Morgan Tonight tonight... maybe he'll mention this. Along with his ongoing snit with Mr Sulu.

I wonder what costume Carrie wants Bill to try and get into, hopefully she doesn't mean The Bikini.

also, that costume off thingy

does that mean Shatner will wear the metal bikini ?
