This reeks of Chapterhouse Dune...

interesting!
Do not be quick to reveal judgment. Hidden judgment is often more potent. It can guide reaction whose effects are felt only when too late to divert them.

Saw something about these people on Discovery or History last year.

I love how the DNA backs up their tradition. SCIENCE! :)

That is super cool, I forwarded it to my girl as she's studying a lot of African anthropology, as well as a lot of Hebrew history.

I love when the science backs it up too.

Tleilax Master B. :)

He digs up Ancient Native Americans and extracts their DNA and creates gholas of them. Shocks their memories back by showing them modern Las Vegas. [shudder] Crichton wanted to do a book & movie about his work, but B found the proposed title Paleolithic Reservation objectionable...

I don't feel like laughing anymore.

 I just pictured Robert Muldoon getting mauled by a trio of angry natives.

"Clever girl..."

What happened to TMB anyway?

He got super busy, if I recall. It wasn't anything you said.

:P

I don't know how much of his activity was from the office; maybe the CyberGestapo clamped down on access? There was some military connection in there someways ... even though he's a civilian employee.

TMB worked for the jarheads in the NM desert at a testing ground. His job was to preserve native american relics before the marines blew them all to hell. His expertise is in the Mogollon culture, IIRC.

(IsraelNN.com) Eighty-five Jews from South Africa and Zimbabwe recently made aliyah, becoming the third group of South African Jews to become Israeli citizens this year. The new citizens were greeted with a festive ceremony at the Kotel (Western Wall), where they received their Israeli ID cards.

South African Jews demand renewal of El AL flights to Israel
By Jonathan Liss, Haaretz Correspondent
Tags: El AL SOuth Africa

Heads of the South African Jewish community started on Thursday a campaign to renew the EL Al flights to the country, after the company cancelled the route over a month ago.

The Israeli airline was criticized by the South African government for its stringent security checkups, as documented on a South African television research show.

A reporter with a hidden camera filmed an El Al security guard allegedly discriminating against dark-skinned passengers at the airport check in.

As a result of the broadcast the South African government issued a request that Israel change its security procedures in the country, which El Al has denied on the basis that they are part of the company's flight regulations.

The top Jewish officials sent a letter to MK Zeev Bielski (Kadima), former chief of the Jewish Agency, in which they warned against the strain in ties between the South African Jewish community and Israel if the flight route remains closed.

Their attempts to enlist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's support in the past, including the South African government's promise to find a solution to the stringent security measures which yielded the crisis, did not stop EL Al from unilaterally announcing the flight route cancellation.

Currently, there is no other direct flight route between the two countries.

"The South African Jewish community, infamous for its support of Israel as a Zionist community, sees this flight route as an integral part of our relations with Israel," MK Bielski wrote in a letter to Netanyahu this week.

"Continuing this flight route is important for diplomatic relations with South Africa, and crucial for tourism in both countries," he added.

I personally feel that this message board, Jacurutu, is full of hateful folks who don't know
how to fully interact with people.
