Gonna get a little more personal than normal for the interwebz here.

I played Final Fantasy XI online for about two years. I lost sleep, missed work, and put everything else in my life aside for a video game. I ignored my friends and family, and I feel like my addiction to it was a major factor in my divorce. It was really hard to quit...I wasn't happy with the way my real life was going, so I lost myself in another world, where, as cheesy as it sounds, I could be who I wanted to be and do all the things I wanted to do.

Quitting...separating myself from that other world...was difficult. But once I did I felt so much better, and I realized how much stuff I was missing in the real world. I don't know if you played as much as I did, but congratulations to you for quitting. Stick with it, and hopefully your life will improve (if it needs improving).

I still play video games from time to time, but I make sure that it is something that can be dropped at any moment if something better (you know, real) comes along. The era of online MMORPG's has ended for me. I'll still play Call of Duty online, but the days of going on quests with friends for 13 hours at a time has ended.

There should have been a coma separating those two words.

A Legend of Zelda film is the holy grail of all hoped-for video game movies, and has just the benefit of actually having a plot and premise that could translate well to film. A hoax like this comes up every few years. This one was at least pretty good for a hoax.

A few groups have taken it upon themselves to make fan films, which faithful to the source are quite obviously amateur. Though all the work, like the Dune fan film, must be applauded.
