something to whet your gristle...
That's how I wrote the novel, wanting you to participate with the best of your own imagination. I did not aim for the lowest common denominator and 'write down" to anyone. You and I have a compact and my responsibility is to entertain you as richly as possible, always giving you as much extra as I can. I assume you are intelligent and will enlist your own imagination. You'll see that when you read the Dune excerpt and the other stories in this collection.

Didn't watch the whole thing, but that was kind of cool.

Limit yourself to a few of these per week, stop the crazy talk, and we may just be OK.

OK omphalos I will limit it to a few things a week, and consider myself censored, although another admin at this forum has told me it is uncensored.
Chig, there is a scene in one of the later 2 books where a guildship crashes on chapterhouse, you should read them again, its in there. Its not me who has been confused by the prequels & sequels. I remain pure dune.

Look, the BURDEN OF PROOF is on you. NO ONE ELSE HERE remembers EVER reading about any such incident except in the McDune books. (And that wasn't Chapter House Planet but Wallach IX.) POST A QUOTE PROVING WHAT YOU CLAIM OR SHUT UP ABOUT IT.

No more pathetic than a no-talent, dole-sponging loser who has to sneak back onto websites where he is known for a nut case under a plethora of different user names, just to post more wingnut crap that NO ONE ELSE WITH A BRAIN has ever demonstrated an interest in. Obviously you "evolved beings" vibratoring on higher frequency planes have no problem with blatant deception.

Semuta, this is an excellent site where you will not be annoyed by anyone and can participate in intelligent discussion, I highly recommend you go here! They have very strict rules against mean-ness, in fact, I was banned from there after a nasty email exchange with the Administrator! I'm sure you'll fit in with the other members here:

That seriously never happened...

And just to entertain that notion for a moment, Semuta, what was the outcome of the guildship crash situation? What purpose did it serve in the overall story?

Yeah, I guess I came in late on that one. I blame my temporary absence.

somewhere in this mess of threads I think it was determined that one of the
Harkonen spawn crashed a little transport somewhere and that's probably
what Joe Smith had mixed up. I myself donot recall the discussion, let alone
the event in the books. Or some shit of similar or different meaning or intent.

Yep. Crashed it into an apple orchard and ended up in a creek.

And there is a Heighliner in House Corrino that emerges from foldspace too close to the planet (due to "Navigator error") and crashes into it.

Either one could be what smooty was raving about. ;)

I do believe it is... Didn't Hadi Benotto say that Leto's dictatel chamber was the first, or one of the first no-rooms? She seemed pretty sure that even if it wasn't, it was created using the same primitive principles that led to modern no-ship technology. If those same primitive principles existed before Leto II, then why hadn't Ix perfected it by the time of GEoD? Bah, no point in pondering that any further. Another one of Keith's foolish whims.
