There's plenty of beautiful women out there and I don't have to watch some lousy movie to see them. Well okay, there are chick flicks one must endure, but that's different :)

Why can't we just make a film with beautiful Hollywood actresses dancing around half-naked (or more), with guns and explosions and awesome cgi in the background. Why bother with plot? That's the part they always screw up.

I would see that. Plot is only for women and cattle, anyways.

well, alright then, I'll take all you little bastards to the moving picture show,
but I ain't buying you no fucking popcorn or caramel apples or none of that

In my day, we didn't even have moving pictures, we'd just take a
Superman comic book and shake it real fast. (Back then, nickels had pictures of
bumble-bees on them. "Gimme five bees for a quarter", we'd say. 'Course that
was before The War, when they started rationing pickels and the Kaiser stole
the letter "N" ..... )

Ahem.

I have to admit, though, I laugh out loud every time the trailer plays on TV and I see them assembling a starship on a planet's surface.

But come on, it's STAR TREK, fer chrissakes! It's not like we're talking about science fiction. ;)

"Dune: Reloaded" (produced by Kevin J. Anderson)
Those half nekkid chicks might be Jessica, Irulan, Gaius Mohiam, Chani, adult Alia and Gurney Halleck (the character would be reinvented and become a female, like Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica, an idea taken from TAU)

This all reminds me of the idiocy of Heighliners being build INSIDE IX, underground. How many Constitution Class starships could you put in a Heighliner?

It wasn't a serious question, there's no size given for heighliners besides "really big". Just rekindling my hatred for September...
