I wonder if in the middle of Navigators the setting will inexplicably and illogically switch to a new water world or sea-side setting because Kieth was dicta-hiking there that day. He'll probably introduce a new character named Reddy Toosevelt also.
The name Atreides was also consciously chosen. It is the family name of Agamemnon. Says Herbert, "I wanted a sense of monumental aristocracy, but with tragedy hanging over them--and in our culture, Agamemnon personifies that."

Ghanima said. "We Atreides go back to Agamemnon..."
Distracted, Irulan asked: "Who's Agamemnon?"

Kevin J Anderson @TheKJA
After MANY hours on the plane to and from Puerto Rico, headphones on, I have mapped out 120 kick-ass chapters in Book 3, ETERNITY'S MIND.
9:35 AM - 7 May 2015
Would be fascinating to read that outline for "120 KICK-ASS CHAPTERS" he did on a plane flight and get a glimpse into that "wonderful" mind at work.

I'll give it to him, that he's got a talent for vomiting out work that people actually pay to read. :puke:

Lets See

120 * 3.75 = 450.

450 * .75 = 337.5

So taking his average page count and the ratio of repetition, each chapter will have about 2.8 pages worth of new content.

And while I made up those numbers, its sad that they probably aren't that far off.

EDIT: Scarier thought: anyone of us could write a KJA quality novel as fast as he could. Even scarier, I'd bet most of ours would be better. Hugo Please.

Assuming a 10-hour flight, that's a chapter outline every five minutes.

I'm still very proud of The Quarry but … let's face it; in the end the real best way to sign off would have been with a great big rollicking Culture novel.

There's a lot of Twitter-based programs. Some calculate how many "fake" followers you have to real ones.

@TheKJA's audit via Twitter Audit is 85% with 8,519 real/1,456 fake.

Yet, thanks to the puppies, he now is part of the illustrious Hugo Losers group, which he would not have been part of if the whiners had not tried to game the Hugos.

Amen. I like to think that his inclusion doubly-fucked that whole movement.

KJA being nominated made sure that we can never ever take this award serious any more.
