Excellent. The blood spatter is fucking perfect.

I'd like to see this site become so spiffy-looking that DN will look like the pile of puke that it is. Maybe they'll have to step their game up...

These themes are just temporary. Free ones I downloaded.

We'll eventually get a custom default theme up.

This will look great on the site. Can you add forum banners at the top?

I was thinking "Orthodox Herbertarian" .. but not decided yet :)

Yea. Its pretty easy to customize. It just takes time because there are so many details.

Please remember the lesson of Worm's forum and keep a plain vanilla version around for those of us who are more interested in the content (and getting to read it quicker instead of waiting for a bunch of images to download) than surface flash. :?

I plan on leaving the themes we have now.

I just want a nice Dune themed background, no surfing Jesus or Flying Spaghetti Monsters, or pink unicorns...

I imagine a night sky with the two moons and mountain ridge with the banner, sand or dunes in the foreground. Something like that.

There's an image of one of Dune's book covers that's from the movie, exactly like that, the two moons with dunes. Dont know if i can find a usable one though, i have it in a pdf version around here somewhere.

Sadly, mine didn't make it. I've never had much respect for paperbacks.

The dunes look good though, and the moons.

I'd prefer to use only original artwork as to avoid any legal questions.

Here's where we commission Simon...

(You want him to work for free? I'll handle that...)

I love that picture. It makes me remeber al the things I loved about DUNE. (Even though there are clouds It evokes Toto's theme song)

The moons are too big and appear to be the same size. Lighting in the sky is weird.

And clouds and copyright, yes. ;)

I never liked that poster, for exactly the same reasons as Chig. It just looks wrong. But I suppose that's fitting, considering the film it represents.

I do believe that's the new edition of CoD.

Gotta love that quality oversight on the part of the HLP, huh? Yeah, Christopher Tolkien would have let that happen.

As Chigger would say: fucking morons, the lot of 'em.

Who was it emailed them and the word back from the designer was that it was supposed to be that way?

THERE's your real idiot.
