I dunno... the cover doesn't really catch the humor at all. I suggest a parody of a Star Wars poster.

That just never gets old, does it? :D

(Maybe it's because I'm from an older generation, or maybe it was just never part of our dialect[ic], but the word "hater" as it's used now will never cease to make me giggle just a little inside; it simply sounds so silly... ;) )

It did for me too for a few years, but now it's worn off and it's just another word. The flexibility of youth I suppose.

Nice. Michael Bay and Kevin J. Anderson will burn in a similar level of Hell for all eternity (if there's any justice).

I want to see an episode featuring Salvidor Dali dressed as Shaddam IV and Kyp Durronn, the ex-Dark Apprentice of Exar Kun's ghost and arrogant former student of Luke Skywalker (according to KJA in Star Wars: The Jedi Academy Trilogy), as the main adversaries of Spanky McDune.
'...all those who took part in the rise and fall of the Dune project learned how to fall one and one thousand times with savage obstinacy until learning how to stand. I remember my old father who, while dying happy, said to me: "My son, in my life, I triumphed because I learned how to fail."' -Alejandro Jodorowsky

okay, I'll take that under advisement ...

I was thinking that Spanky's biggest adversary is himself ...

The only people we've actually seen him get all bent out of shape over have been those who have tried to exert any sort of editorial influence over him. Remember when he blasted that editor for daring to suggest that he change something?

I've been thinking about this. Instead of a Scientologist, is KJA a closet Randian? It would explain his condescending attitude towards others and his inability to accept reality.

Re: WTF?

Really, What the Fuck? These are not the photos I told you to post to the firewood.com blog.
These are the real photos that I told you to delete. I told you to just take the one of me smiling
behind the table, with the stack of the new hardbacks, and fucking photoshop in the crowd from that
photo I sent you of George Takei's signing at DragonCon. And you use that one because you can
blur out that queen and superimpose me at the table, under the big DragonCon logo; the shitbags
that read the firewood blog don't know I wasn't at DragonCon, anyway. Fuck, I could tell them I was
hiking on the Moon, and they'd re-twit it.

And BTW, the twitting-thing's not working, again.

Also, and I've told you this like a zillion times before, stop sending me Pherbert's telegraphs
without translating them first. You know goddamn good and well I can't sight-read Morse Code. And
anyway, what the fuck could he possibly want ? If he thinks I'm spending one more second on that
last Drift book, he's got life fucked up.

I'm not going to be home for awhile, be sure you untie Jabecca and take her out in the field to graze. I don't
want to have to put up with her attitude when I do make it home.

Last Warning, Sue : get your shit together, or I'll gut your circuitry and use you for a coffee-maker. Best
Buy's got those new R7 units, cheap. Just sayin'.

I never got around to finishing that scene,
or making an "episode" from it ...

the tin-can robot is Spanky's Driver; the briefcase is filled with stacks of $100 bills, Spanky's "get-away" money,
if it comes to that (and it will come to that)

the stormtrooper is volunteer security from a parody of the 501st Legion,
for which I've not been able to come up with a name, and am taking suggestions ...
(the Rot/Gorge poster about to fall off the wall was Chigger's idea - "Rot/Gorge" was, anyway -
I don't remember if he made the logo, or if that was lotek's ... ???)

anyway, the stormtrooper was there to shoot the sockpuppet, last in line behind Spanky's Special Fans,
when it asked pointed questions about the existence of the alledged "Synopsis", purported to be scrawled
on the back of a Shakey's Pizza kids-activities placemat, supposedly found by Spanky himself in Phuzzy
Pherbert's Josie & the Pussycats lunchbox, which Phuzzy was about to donate to the Bosnian Children's
Relief Fund .... now, of course, there's all the famous, documented contradictions about whether or not the
"Synopsis" was discovered in the lunchbox itself, or inside the matching thermos in a completely different
location, and then there's the whole much-discussed controversy over the authors' different descriptions
of just exactly how much of the document was covered in tomato sauce - which is only important in trying
to determine which parts of Sons of Drift were actually conceived by Phrank Pherbert himself, and
which parts (blotted out by the sauce) Spanky had to "extrapolate" ....

and Sue was supposed to have a table there charging ten bucks to get in, and five bucks for a coupon
for Spanky to sign the book the fans had to buy from her ....

altho the arm-gizmo on the little robot is fully posable, too; she might hide under the table and auto-pen
Spanky's scrawl when his "hand gets cramped from signing books for all my devoted fans"
{actual tehKJA twit-quote}

I thought it was an interstellar DMV where spanky was going to wait in line to get his license renewed. After all, aren't he jawas there to deal their way out of a speeding ticket from racing their crawler?

R5D4 reminds me of a broken pepsi vending machine over there in the corner and the stormtrooper seems to have IG-88 confused with a RealDoll or a cheerleader or something.

It's like a caption contest.
