Ooooo, he would actually make a pretty cool Stilgar... trying to remember, but I think somewhere in the books he's described as definitly not black though... too bad.

He's be a good Malky.

he'd be a great Malky, except the producers wouldn't be able to stop themselves from using him for voice-over
to speed up the story - shawshank march of the God-emperor redemption .... malky would end up being the
main character

I must admit, I didn't think much of Leto II first time I laid eyes on him. Looked like a stiff breeze would blow him over. That was my first impression of the God-emperor. I could see why some of the Reverend Mothers took him for snobby. He had a quiet way about him, a walk and a talk that just wasn't normal around here. He rolled, on his Ixian cart, like a man in a park without a care or a worry in the world. Like he had on an invisible coat that would shield him from this place. Yeah, I think it would be fair to say I liked this Emperor from the start. I also liked cotton candy, but that was another story, another time.

I have no idea to this day what those two Fish Speakers were singing about. Truth is, I don't want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I'd like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words, and it makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a grey place dares to dream. It was as if some beautiful bird had flapped into our drab little cage and made these walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man on Arrakis felt free.

One day, Leto said to me - "I ASSURE you that I am the book of fate. Questions are my enemies. For my questions explode! Answers leap up like a frightened flock, blackening the sky of my inescapable memories. Not one answer, not one suffices. What prisms flash when I enter the terrible field of my past. I am a chip of shattered flint enclosed in a box. The box gyrates and quakes. I am tossed about in a storm of mysteries. And when the box opens, I return to this presence like a stranger in a primitive land. Slowly (slowly, I say) I relearn my name. Remember, Malky, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies."

Sometimes it makes me sad, though, Leto being gone. I have to remind myself that some worms aren’t meant to be ridden . Their scales are just too slick. And when they squirm away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to try to ride them does rejoice. But still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty when they’re gone. I guess I just miss my friend.

There's still movement, but in a lateral direction. That's all I can say right now.

Translation: I don't really know dick about it, but we were all bowled over by the news of Morel's departure and we're still lying on our sides, shitting ourselves.

You just gotta speak the language. It's called Bullshit.

I also like the guy who basically says, "Thanks for not knowing shit-all about this subject, Byron."

Not sure if he's one of our ringers or not. Either way, it's pretty funny.

I'll say it again: no one knows less about this project than Freakin' Meow. If he was any more out of the loop, he'd be orbiting Neptune.

Holy shit, I followed that link in Byron's signature to a site called Film Review Stew....WOW. That is one seriously shitty, poorly designed, god-awful site right there. Spew might be a better word than Stew. :puke:

Your all just jealous of Cameron and his succes? what do you think of his fans?

DON'T EVER put Cameron in the same sentence as Michael Bay. He's not a shallow mindless action director, he's an intelligent man who does scientific research, puts love in his movies and that sort of thing. I think Cameron could be a good contender. Comparing Cameron to Bay is like comparing Alfred Hitchcock to Ed Wood, IT'S WRONG!

I believe Cameron can put Dune as a film well put.

I was wading thru the smiley-pile looking for something that would express the amusement (at your expense) of this post ...
there's a Bart, but no Nelson .... at one time, I had a notepad document with links to a whole bunch of smileys, but can't
find it now ...

it's the kind of amusement you get when you're sitting at the bar and a drunk stumbles into the glass door that opens out-wards,
and is momentarily shocked and confused, then laughs at himself for being a drunken idiot, pushed the door in and takes the barstool
next to you ... you wait until he gets his drink and say "I goddamn near broke my pecker on that door myself, 'bout two hours ago ..."
and you both grin and clink your Lone Star bottles together and get more shitfaced ...

like someone stepping the same pile of dogshit you stepped in ...

it's also like knowing that the dogshit is right there and not warning the other guy ... and giggling when he steps in it ...

it's like sitting at the end of the bar watching a guy talking up an ugly chick you know is actually a 14 year old Mexican boy,
and waiting until they leave the bar together to spew your beer all over Billy Bob next to you and laugh until you choke and fall
off the barstool and have a mild cardio infarction and Billy Bob's not mad because he was watching, too, and it's best left unsaid
how you both know That Girl Has A Penis ....

so is he still reviewing major motion pictures released to DVD three years ago
and running four times a day on FX,
which is where he saw the movie yesterday ?

and I think tripping into Merrit's Delusional Relevance Hole
and stepping on your dick in your haste to escape
is an Iduali Rite of Passage ...
