New Dune Movie

Post by Konman72 »

So what was the final word on this? Is it coming or not? The first I heard about it was rottentomatoes.com announcing that a director had been chosen, but then Byron seemed to say that the movie wasn't actually coming.

Anybody heard anything else?

That's the last I've seen, too.

Er...I mean, that's the last thing I heard from somebody. ;)

Indeed. Any of you want to bet that some of the flashier details from Pile o' Dung, make it into the screenplay for the new film?

The new Dune is going to make you shit your spacepants!

That Hurt.

Pile O' Dung is the best name for the upcoming books.

It beats 'Chiggers "Sadworms" hands down.

Heck, its on a par with his epic "Arid Queen" comment over on Hairy Ticks.

And yeah, i think you're 100% right, im sure they will.
The HLP hasnt released Frank's notes yet, Brian hasn't got the handwriting quite right!

Did I come up with Sadworms? I was thinking it was someone else, like Grunters. Or was it more of a group kinda thang?

I do claim "Aridqueen", though. :D

But Pile of Dung IS inspired.

I don't know if Sadworms was yours or not, seems like these things tend to evolve as we discuss them. I wasn't the first to say Pile 'o Dung was I? Seems like that's something that should've been out there for awhile.

My all-time favorite alternate title still has got to be: Snadwroms of Dune.

I am not absolutely sure but I think Dung may have been originally posted over on House Atreides back in the day.

In memory of Perach, who suffered and died needlessly.

I wish I could have been with you that one last time.

It has been made official. The new movie will be made by paramount. That is great news for all Dune fans ... but ... why oh why do Pinky and The Brain need to be co-producers? Haven't they proven enough they have absolutely no idea what the book is truly about?

source: http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... =367958525

Interestingly enough is that this news is not yet on the official Dune website at the time of me writing this. In other words: big Ass KJA again is pushing himself in front of it all.

EDIT: of course its also not yet on the official Dune MySpace site.

KJA you are pathetic!
